This post is part of the current Fund Raiser where a friend has given me an offer to buy a collection of Warhammer models, the money will go to putting down deposits for his wedding arrangements.
I am collecting funds in the following ways:
- Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
- Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
- Selling some of the collection to friends

Also this has become quite the Challenge! With so many units to review in the game the consensus in the hobby community is that I will not have enough time to review all of the Datasheets before the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 came out.
I should have started when 10th edition launched!

Astra Militarum, Regimental Enginseer
10th Edition Index
A Regimental Enginseer is a member of the Adeptus Mechanicus attached to a Regiment of the Imperial Guard that has a lot of armor. Since there are ties between the Astra Militarum and the Adeptus Mechanicus to some extent, any world's Regiment may have Enginseers attached to them.
Other Regiments might hail from Industrial worlds where the worship of the Omnissiah and the Cult Mechanicus might be more commonplace and therefore it might be even more common for them to have Techpriests and Enginseers in their ranks.
It is the job of these Enginseers to maintain and repair tanks and bless the machine spirits of the Regiment's wargear in battle.
They cost 45pts to field and $37 to buy. I am fairly sure this same model can be used in an Adeptus Mechanicus army.

There are no options on this character, he is as he is.

Archeotech pistol
12" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on 3+, S6, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Pistol (This weapon can be fired while in engagement range of enemy models)
Devastating Wounds (Rolls of a 6 to Wound cause Mortal Wounds)
Melee Weapons
Enginseer axe
3 Attacks, Hitting on 4+, S6, AP-2 and 2 Damage each.
Servo-arm
1 Attack, Hitting on 4+, S6, AP-2 and 2 Damage each.
Abilities
Vengeance for the Omnissiah
If a friendly Astra Militarum vehicle is destroyed within 12" of this model, he becomes an Angry Nerd (That's what I call them), for the rest of the game add 3 Attacks to this model's Enginseer Axe profile.
So 7x S6 Ap-2 D2 attacks after that on a 45pt model. LOL
Omnissiah’s Blessing
In your Command Phase, use this ability on a vehicle within 3" of this model. That model regains D3 wounds and gains a 4+ Invul save till the next turn. You can only repair a model once a turn like this.
Enginseer
When this model is within 3" of a vehicle, this model has Lone Operative. This means he cannot be targeted by ranged attacks unless the shooter is within 12"
Thoughts
Indeed... useful, if you have lots of tanks. Leman Russ tanks are T11 with W13 and a 2+ save. While there exists guns that can wipe it out in a turn, or your opponent could have a LOT of firepower, being able to heal D3 wounds per turn can extend a tank's life. You also give the tank a 4++ invul which is even more useful.
Rogal Dorn tanks are T12 W18
Baneblade Variants are T13 W24
Same applies there a 4++ Invul and bringing wounds back will increase the value and threat those tanks represent.
I think I would definitely run my mechanized Guard with these guys.
That makes 28 Astra Militarum Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 31.46% Completed. The total Completed is 18.65% Complete! Can I review them all?!
