Good Day Everyone!
Chopseuy
My delicious chopseuy.
Vegetables are really expensive nowadays. We can only eat and cook once or twice a week or sometimes two times a month chaaar, lol. It is because of inflation. My kids don't eat a lot of vegetables either. It's like when I was young I didn't like to eat vegetables too. Now I am more inclined to eat vegetables. We need vegetables for our body to be energetic because it is nutritious. This month of July we are celebrating "Nutrition Month". And this is what I thought to cook, Chopseuy.
My own version of chopseuy.
Ingredients:
- 3 Cloves Mince Garlic
- 1 Onion
- Red Bell Pepper
- Half Cabbage
- Snow Pea (Sitsaro in Tagalog)
- Kinchay or Celery
- Butter
- Oyster Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Cornstarch put in water
- 1/4 Chicken Breast
Snow peas (sitsaro) for the price of 10 pesos.
I just bought the brocolli for the price of 50 pesos.
How to cook.
- Boil the chicken breast and shred it. Set aside.
- Put butter in a pan.
- Add garlic, onion, shredded chicken and oyster sauce.
- Put the water with cornstarch.
- Cover and simmer for two minutes.
- Add the red bell pepper, brocolli, snow pea, and cabbage.
- Simmer again for another one minute, then add the kinchay.
Then it is ready to serve for family.
It is delicious when it is only half cooked so that the vegetables are crunchy. That is the only vegetable I bought because I only had budget money hehe.
I am inviting sis @jeansapphire to join this amazing contest of our Hive PH community.
