I don't know how else to say this, but I think what Hive deserves at this point is to promote its visibility to a wider audience.
My lecturer, back then in college, would always say that "the only way to promote your product is to hawk it carelessly". By hawking it carelessly, he meant giving it all the possible visibility it can get through various means available. He meant don't get tired talking about it. Talk about your business while you are sleeping, while awake, in a conversation with friends and family and anywhere you find yourself.
And at this point, I think that's what Hive needs.
Now, I'm not saying the marketing team are not doing their best. But I feel like this ecosystem doesn't have much social media presence. I feel like it ended only on the Web3 ecosystem while the world has become a global village.
Imagine the number of people who surf social media every day. Imagine the number of hungry and thirsty people who surf various social media platforms looking for other means to earn and get busy. Imagine if they're told about the Hive ecosystem.
I don't mind if you prove me wrong, but I've barely seen or heard people talk about this platform on Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, etc. Not even when I was researching on platforms one could earn income from writing. It is just a handful.
It feels like its presence isn't felt much there or is very little. Also, note that there are a lot of other good writers on those platforms that this platform could be of better value to. So what happened to campaigns on social media platforms that could help them know about this beautiful place and how it works?
Run social media or online Ads and let them pop up on their screens while they surf the web. Let them know there is a whole new world where they can blog and be heard without compromise. Let them know they can earn while they do what they love.
Trust me people love to hear that a platform can pay them for doing simple tasks. Just the way musicians promote their musicians online through TikTok and others. Promote Hive, too, by running campaigns, contests and giveaways.
Partner with social media influencers and crypto enthusiasts or leaders. Let them talk about this platform vigorously.
Let people share stories about Hive and how it changed their lives on these social media platforms.
Develop a proper referral system that helps people earn just by referring people to Hive.
Create a YouTube platform that helps tell people what's going on here. A platform dedicated to helping newbies understand how to navigate through ecency and grow. Trust me, sometimes it can get confusing here when you don't have somebody to lead you on and you just surf blindly. Sometimes it gets tiring and not motivating.
In my country, I noticed that a high number of users of this platform are students. This means that if promotions or campaigns are done in various educational institutions, there is a possibility to find more students willing to come on board.
Like o said earlier, I'm not writing to talk down on the marketing team of this platform. The theme for the prompt asked*"Ideas to promote Hive?" And I answered.
