Meet zico20 // Introductory Post
My name is Isaac kayinu Surutai, I am from Akwanga local government of Nasarawa State, Nigeria. I was born in a village call Nnen popularly known as Aban under the district of Agyanga, Akwanga Local Government Area of Nasarawa State Nigeria.
I was born under the family of three, two boys and a girl. The first male child and the second born in the family. I was born without a silver spoon so to say because my parent were not buoyant. We do more of faming for the living. My parent couldn’t afford to train us through school and Life wasn't funny at all during those years.
Above all I was very stubborn, doing the unimaginable. Despite bring so Stubborn, I was the speck my parent desired among others. My dad who wants us to go to school try all he could to put us in a government primary school.
At the age of 11, while I was in primary six, God sent a savior that took me away from my parent. My dad's elder brother, Uncle Gowon who lives in the city came to the village and visited us.
Uncle Gowon saw how we were suffering, so he discussed the issued with my dad that He would like to take me to the city and handle me to some people that will trained me through school. My dad agreed and later discussed the issued with me very early in the morning.
I kicked against it but my dad sat me down and made me understand that it's not his choice to allow me to go but since he could not afford it, He has no choice than to lets me go so that I will be a better person in life.
Another phase of life began in the city and in a new environment. So, I can say i was adopted by this people through my uncle. The name of my adopted parent are Mr and Mrs keshinro. To stay with them and adapt to a new environment wasn’t easy for me, sometimes i cry, begging them to take me back to my parent.
My adopted mother took responsibility of me and even put me in school. No support from my dad, all I received from him was discouragement. He made life so bitter for me but God was faithful.
Few years later, a heart broken news came from my biological parent through my uncle on phone due to the distance that my dad was dead. My dad's demise really affected me academically, it too me time to cope up again.
After graduating from high school, since its was my foster mum doing the sponsoring and sheltering, she Have to sent me back to my real parent due lack of resources. Things became difficult to my sponsor ( foster mum) that she could not be able to continue catering for my welfare.
Living my foster parent to my biological parent Wasn't easy at all after losing my dad many years ago and coming to meet my mum who wasn't capable of sponsoring me in school, I have to encourage myself and i pick the challenged of life by searching for job.
I Eventually got a teaching job in a school through a friend of mine after a long time search. The name of the school was GREAT LITTLE LAMP ACADEMY, where I was employed to teach in BASIC 4.
This gave me a lot of excitement at least I will be able to help my mum and pay some bills in the family but the pay wasn’t enough to meet up some needs. So I decided to apply for a keyboard (Piano) training where I could learn how to play keyboard, so that it could also help me to raise some fund to support the family.
Day in and day out I kept on practicing until I understood the principles behind sounds as i pressed those white and blacks keys(piano)
Although there were a lot of challenges I encounter while learning this instrument but I Couldn't give up because I discovered that its became my passion. I can’t just live a single day without listening to music or touches those white and blacks keys.
Seeing myself play in big events was my desire, hopefully, through that I can earn a living and support the family.
Years later, i got admission into federal university Lafia, Nasarawa state, to study Statistics. While I was in school, I had to go into graphics designing where I could learn how to design and earns some money during school.
I will be doing more of music which is my passion, graphic designing and gospel sermon. I am gland to be part of this block chain. Shout out to my friends @ovey10 and @emreal who introduced me to chain. I look forward to build myself on the chain and also contribute positively to the growth of the platform.
