The man's body and how to take care of it

The body of a man is as important as that of a woman and must be cared for. It is not only the woman's body that needs to be taken care of. Just as an unkempt female body is a turn off for the men so also a man whose body is unkempt is a turn off for women. When it comes to taking care of the body, both sexes have a role to play.

Food and Exercise

Eating right is important not just to give the body the necessary nutrients but also to stay healthy and strong. It is important for a man to watch his calorie intakes as they also can have protruded stomach which is not such a good sight to behold. Daily work out should be part of a man's daily routine. Build those muscles and those biceps and always look smart. Exercising daily reduces the risk of diabetes, lowers the risk of colon cancer, reduces the risk of erectile dysfunction and lowers the risk of high blood pressure.

As a man staying healthy as you get older should be your goal. Eat foods that contains a lot of calcium and potassium. Make fruits and veggies, nuts and seeds, fish and whole grains a part of your diet.

Remember, your sex drive depends on your level of testosterone and as you age, the hormone naturally decreases. Avoid eating sugary foods, alcohol and lots of carbs if you don't want erectile dysfunction.

Most men focus on their exterior looks and often forget that the private part needs grooming too. Don't think it is only women that have an off-putting smell down there. Men also do and it can be very irritating. The penis needs to be taken care of and here are ways to achieve this:

  • Wash the penis at least once a day with warm water and mild soap. Perfumed soaps can make your genital itchy.

  • Clean the base of the penis and the testicles because that's where sweat and hair combine to produce a strong unpleasant smell.

  • Clean the area between the base of the testicles and the anus with water and mild soap.

  • Do not wear one underwear for one week. Ensure you wear clean underwear always. Change your boxers twice a day.

  • Clean up after urinating or having sex. You can use a wipe incase of emergencies.

  • If you have a foreskin, pull it back with care and wash underneath

  • Trim the pubic area regularly and ensure it is clean.

  • Sleep naked so enough air can get to the testicles and increase the quality of your sperm as testicles need to be 35° to create optimum sperm.
