Hello, travel community! This time I’m in the city of Jakarta, Indonesia and I would like to share my trip to this historic city and my walks to the Istiqlal Mosque and Cathedral which has become a cultural heritage site registered by the Ministry as a place of worship for them.
Local and foreign tourists are also often present here to see firsthand the beauty of the Istiqlal mosque and cathedral church that coexist, and that is
the façade of the cathedral church, located to the east of the Istiqlal mosque... A very beautiful view and a very harmonious tolerance despite different beliefs, do not slow down their steps to always live in harmony and love peace.
One of the several historical sites in the city of Jakarta is this mosque. Indonesia's Special Capital Region of Jakarta is located in Taman Wijaya Kusuma, Ps. Baru, Sawah Besar District, and Central Jakarta City.
I arrived at that mosque at 5 a.m. when that mosque was opened to visitors who could come to that place, and when I arrived at that mosque, we could see the crowd. The security guards here are very good and you are allowed to enter the mosque because visiting hours are open from 04.00 to 21.00 WIB for the public, so there were no problems at all when I was here until I saw some views from the outside. I saw vendors selling their food outside the mosque, as seen below...
It’s the way into the mosque...
Overall, I saw the landscape around the Istiqlal mosque, including beautiful and very warm ... how not, the view of the pool that is seen in front of the mosque and the river next makes my turn to Jakarta more beautiful and pleasant, especially the morning when the atmosphere of the morning ceiling that looks serene and peaceful makes my mood look happy...
This is the face of the river in front of the Istiqlal mosque in Jakarta that I saw in the morning...
This cultural heritage site is a must-visit for anyone visiting the city of Central Jakarta. With its beautiful interior, the architecture and attention to detail will keep you busy for at least half an hour.
Istiqlal Mosque & Cathedral Church are two of the most visited tourist attractions. At least that’s what I saw in the morning. The vibrant red brick mosque, with its beautiful interior and friendly atmosphere invite local and foreign tourists to take pictures and learn more about Islam. The cathedral church on the other hand with its beautiful blue roof, quiet atmosphere, and gardens attracts tourists from the Christian community.
I was at the Istiqlal mosque when I saw the view of the cathedral mosque right in front of the nose of the Istiqlal mosque... Side by side and always living in harmony until now. A portrait of the landscape in the morning that is still very memorable in my mind.
Thanks for exploring with me. I hope we’ve inspired you to visit this heritage site, whether you’re in Indonesia or just around the world.
