Visit Fort Santa Lucía

in #hive-1637722 years ago

Hi everyone. My trip this time is to a place called Fort Santa Lucia, which is located in the city of Ternate, North Maluku.

Fort Santa Lucia is a fort built by the Portuguese government in 1540. Initially, the fort was named Santa Lucia until it was known as Fort Kalamata. As for the term Kalamata, it comes from the name of a prince of Kalamata, namely the younger brother of the sultan of Ternate Madarsyah of the sultan Kaicil Sibori Amsterdam.

The view of the white clouds above the mountains is also very beautiful even if the position when I was in the fort.

Before entering the room of the fort of Santa Lucia, we will face a beautiful and beautiful view of green grass outside the fort.

As far as the eye can see, we can see a view of the hills in the middle of the ocean with a view of Maitara Island and Tidore Island in the background

This is the appearance of Maitara Island and Tidore Island from a distance, as far as the eye can see when I was at Fort Santa Lucia or currently known as Fort Kalamata.

My trip to this Kalamata fort was to have a vacation. because this fort was used as a cultural heritage building and a tourist site by the current government until its restoration was inaugurated in 1997 by the government, so far this fort still exists and maintains its immortality.

Below you can see a brief history of the Kalamata Fort, which at the beginning of its establishment it was called the Fort of Santa Lucia.

it is from these steps that I began to walk, to look around, and to witness the eternity of the fort, to the panoramic beauty of the islands that still exist today.

Now let’s see the old well inside the fort...

This well is believed to have existed since the beginning of the Santa Lucia Fort was founded.

Let’s now turn to a pair of glasses displayed on the first page. still here in the fort of Santa Lucia which is changing its name to a kalamata fort.

Thanks to all of you who have followed my travels to Fort Santa Lucia or Fort Kalamata, as it is now called, but apart from that, it turns out that this fort is also often called by residents Fort Red Wood, this designation is not strange, because this fort is one of the cultural heritage located in the village of Kayu Merah, ternate city of the south, Indonesia.

Thank you, and good luck.

It is undoubtedly a wonderful place to appreciate the contrast of the fort with the rest of the landscape and to understand that it is also part of a historical landmark.
