Beautiful life!
I spent some moments in the yard yesterday morning while the hubby checked on the steering which sounded weird when we were about to leave the driveway. Leaving the Lil Guy inside the car, I jumped out purposely to bask under the bright sunshine.
There, I noticed a few plants were already bearing fruits. One of them was an accidental plant which I think is called Lima beans. I said accidental because we did not plant them. They grew on their own.
But how did they end up here then?
Magic, lol!
Well, sometime last year when we visited Bauko, we bought this type of beans in their market so that must be from it. That will be confirmed when the pods mature. If not, maybe some feathered friends (birds) brought them here.
This is our first time having lima in our yard so we are clueless on how long before we can harvest the fruits. We are not rushing them though.
Just a few steps away is the tomato we brought from the Lil Kingdom which was previously in a pot but I transplanted it in November if my memory serves me right. I'm glad to see it survived and has two lovely fruits, one was almost ripe.
And there's the pineapple too, a few more are in the backyard. They may have grown roots already because this one is turning darker in color, although I think it is screaming it needs water.😅
Another accidental plant is a pumpkin which I initially thought was melon but we haven't had any since we moved here. I don't remember sowing any except for the one I placed in a pot (the hubby already transplanted it two weeks ago farther away from the yard), but maybe he tossed some seeds from the ones we had in the kitchen. That's the logical explanation I could think of or perhaps the birds did it?😅
The thought of having pumpkins spread across the yard wall and bear fruits excites me. We hadn't had this plant before so we will learn through this one.
The French bean wasn't accidental because I intentionally sowed several over the last few months and most didn't make it through. We love beans so I wouldn't give up sowing some more. This one was just recently and with the weather improving, I hope it will thrive.
I was to move to where the others were to check on them when I got distracted by the shadows of tiny grass and such (I will share them soon, no doubt about that😅) then the hubby called out saying it was time to roll. So yep, we headed out!
