Welcome to June’s iteration of the FreeCompliments Community’s contests for Post of the Month, Compliment of the Month, and Non-Compliment Comment of the Month! The goal of this contest is to encourage the creation of quality content, both long-form and short-form, for the betterment of the community and its members.
The winner of the Post of the Month and Compliment of the Month will win 5 HSBI + 1000 Ecency Points + 20 $LEO + 1000 NEOXAG + 1000 CCD each, and runner-ups of these plus the Non-Compliment Comment of the Month will win 3 HSBI + 500 Ecency Points + 10 $LEO + 500 NEOXAG + 500 CCD.

Thank you to everyone who voted! It took us a couple of tries this month, but we finally got a decent amount of votes, and I only broke one tie. Multiple votes did not take place, no curation trails were found, our friendly @dustbunny was identified, and no self-votes occurred – perfection.

Footprints in the sand: Mark in life from @khantaimur. In this post, he describes how each of the actions that we take throughout our lives culminate in a unique way that has the potential to affect the lives of others, and how we have the potential to choose to make these actions beneficial. He phrased these concepts far better than I just did, and it’s most certainly worth a read – hence, it’s an exceptionally deserving winner of Post of the Month.

The war within us. from @wiseagent. In this post, he describes how our own internal problems cause us to lose empathy for others, but emphasizes the fact that since we all face our own problems, it’s important to remember to be empathetic to others who also face the same types of struggles. This acknowledgment of a universal human condition is a potent reminder of the importance of empathy, making it an outstanding winner of our runner-up prize!

From @toryfestus, this compliment describes how she went through a very similar experience, and at one point instinctively caught that there was a problem in the poster’s life, ultimately complimenting their shared experience and wishing her the best of health. Non-Compliment Comment of the Month
While our primary focus is on compliments, free speech and discussion is also a tremendous focus in this community. Not all conversations require compliments or agreements, but rather respectful discussion, listening, and exchanges of ideas. Thus, I believe it is essential to reward dialogues which are done in such a manner. This is a tenet of the stringent free speech principle we exercise, in a manner that we would love to see implemented in all forms of communication.
This month, it happened to be my own comment. However, I’m not using this contest to reward myself, so I’m going to go to the next highest votest comments...
Thus, this month’s actual winner is a comment by @feyifavor, discussing why they typically like to work alone, but acknowledging that having people with the same drive to achieve a common goal is what makes a team successful.
