Someone in Britain took him up on the offer - they simply phoned a pizza place in laszlo's town, ordered it to be delivered to his house, and paid over the phone with Visa (incurring international currency fees/charges as their card was in pounds sterling).
To laszlo it was probably a good deal, because back then you could mine bitcoin on your laptop while you slept, and the reward was 50btc per block.
It must have seemed incredible that you could turn worthless/fun tokens into something as important as food.
I think of that everytime the Hive price drops - it might seem almost worthless now - but things can change!
