Yet Another HIVE Game!
This is an exciting time for HIVE. Not only has the value of the token recovered, but we're seeing all sorts of new innovations, initiatives and games being built on the platform.
My favorite games are ones that require only a small amount of attention, or they could be left mostly alone with only a few tweaks here and there.
CrownRend
The new game is called CrownRend. It's a kingdom building game where you battle other kingdoms for resources called "DENAR", a hive-engine token.
The players mine DENAR at a fixed rate and use this resource to upgrade your battle and defense stats. You can raid other players and defend against their raids.
Watching your DENAR grow by the second is very satisfying.
You can claim your DENAR every 2 hours, but you don't have to. Players start with a 5 DENAR vault, so once that maximum is reached, no more is collected. The vault size can be doubled to 10, for the cost of 10 DENAR.
The battles are very quick, so it only takes a few seconds to login, fight some battles, collect some DENAR and go on with the day.
That's exactly the kind of game I like. Very little time commitment!
Is Worth It?
This is the question I always ask myself. I evaluate financial and time costs and return.
I don't count on earning more crypto than I invest (this is a game after all), but if played well there is that potential.
It's about 20 HIVE ($10 USD) to play. This prevents people from signing up multiple accounts with bots, which ruins the game.
I've already withdrawn about $7.00 worth of DENAR, earning back the entry fee, if I were to sell it. But I see great potential in the game and will re-invest most, if not all of it.
Although I'm just learning the game, it's in a very playable and polished state and I expect all sorts of upgrades and improvements as time goes along. Buying and selling equipment (for HBD) will be a game-changer and new enhancements and skills for the army will make things interesting.
I would say the game is worth it.
