In the previous post I showed you some pictures of my visit to one of the Venezuelan coasts, today I will tell you briefly about a visit I made to Ciudad Guayana a few years ago.

En el post anterior les mostré algunas fotos de mi paso por una de las costas Venezolanas hoy les relatare brevemente de una visita que hice a Ciudad Guayana hace algunos años.

Most of the trip does not leave much to see the roads are endless, well in those days I was not very fond of photography as I had lost many photos on damaged computers and did not give them much importance, I think if I travel now I would take so many pictures that I would have to publish the rest of the year.

La mayor parte del viaje no deja mucho que ver las carreteras son interminables, bueno en aquellos tiempos no era muy amante de la fotografía ya que había perdido muchas fotos en computadoras dañadas y no les daba mucha importancia, creo que si viajo ahora sacaría tantas fotografías que tendría para publicar el resto del año.

In the following image you can see the Orinoco river seen from the city of San Felix very close to the terminal of chalanas (boats) when crossing the river you pass to the State of Monagas.

En la siguiente imagen pueden apreciar el rio Orinoco visto desde la ciudad de San Félix muy cerca del terminal de chalanas (barcos) al cruzar el río se pasa al Estado Monagas.

This waterfall is located in the Llovizna Park, also known as Salto la Llovizna and belongs to the Caroní River, near where it joins the Orinoco River. It is a much visited park since it is located in the center of Ciudad Guayana, the most interesting thing is that you can get to the waterfall through a concrete walkway, through the jungle and also by water.

Esta cascada está ubicada en el Parque la Llovizna, también conocido como Salto la Llovizna y pertenece al río Caroní, cerca de allí se une con el río Orinoco. Es un parque muy visitado ya que está situado en el centro de Ciudad Guayana, lo más interesante es que se puede llegar a la cascada por un acceso de paseos de concreto, por la selva y también por vía acuática.

We went to a fairly remote area; the neighbors of these people were about a couple of kilometers away. While at the house they showed me a couple of insects common to the area and I tell you I had a hard time sleeping after seeing them.

Fuimos hasta una zona bastante remota, los vecinos de estas personas estaban aproximadamente a un par de kilómetros. Estando en la casa me mostraron un par de insectos comunes de la zona y les digo que me costó conciliar el sueño después de verlos.

We also met a boy who had hunted a kind of lizard; I was very surprised by the size of this reptile as I had never seen one so big.

También nos encontramos un niño que había cazado una especie de lagarto, me sorprendió mucho el tamaño de este reptil ya que nunca había visto uno de estos tan grande.

There are many things you can see in secluded and lonely places like these, even better are the stories they can tell you or strange things you can see, I tell them below.

Son muchas cosas las que puedes ver en lugares apartados y solitarios como estos, mejor aún son las historias que te pueden contar o cosas extrañas que se pueden ver, les cuento a continuación.

When I saw this dog's eyes I was not surprised because I knew it was an anomaly known as heterochromia and some breeds of dogs have both eyes like this, without color. But I was told that this canine could see things at night that other dogs could not. That same night I could see what they meant, when the dog began to bark, the other dogs were silent and nervous, but this one kept barking fiercely as if surrounding something that was coming down the road and advanced towards the house and when he reached the door of the house he calmed down. They told me that it was not something frequent but sometimes it happened and they were used to it but the owner of the house did not have a good face, as if something was bothering her, I preferred not to ask.

Cuando vi los ojos de este perro no me sorprendió ya que sabía que se trataba de una anomalía conocida como heterocromía y algunas razas de perros tienen los dos ojos así, sin color. Pero me comentaron que este canino podía ver cosas en la noche que los otros perros no podían. Esa misma noche pude ver a que se referían, cuando el perro comenzó a ladrar, los demás perros hacían silencio y se mostraban nerviosos, pero este seguía ladrando ferozmente como rodeando algo que se acercaba por el camino y avanzaba hacia la casa y cuando llego a la puerta de la casa se tranquilizó. Me comentaron que no era algo frecuente pero en ocasiones pasaba y ya estaban acostumbrados pero la dueña de la casa no tenía buena cara, como si algo le molestase, yo preferí no preguntar.

In this place there is a lot to do during the day and there are also very beautiful places with large savannas and an unparalleled view, horseback riding is an adventure and you can appreciate sunsets like these.
I hope to have the opportunity to visit these lands again.

En este lugar hay mucho que hacer durante el día y también hay lugares muy hermosos sabanas grandes y una vista inigualable, andar a caballo resulta toda una aventura y se pueden apreciar atardeceres como estos. Espero tener la oportunidad de volver a visitar estas tierras.
