January 18th, 2025Ā Ā Ā This week there isn't anything to mention in the world of delegation news because we've neither gained or lost any. We have, however, continued our upward HP trend due to all delegations slightly growing with time, usually by around 20 to 30 HP each week. I am at home in the Cardamom Mountains here in Cambodia and slowly getting my life back in order after my month-long trip to the USA where I visited family and troubleshooted visa issues.
Ā Ā Ā I'm now nearly caught up with my ASEAN Hive duties and curation posts, so I look forward to working in the present day and having some to start doing housework and cooking too. I don't have much to say other than I'm tired and still haven't gotten over the novelty of constantly hugging my daughters and kitties.
Ā Ā Ā In unrelated news, it is almost 95% certain my wife and stepdaughters finally have defeated the US visa process, and on January 24th we will know more details about whether or not we can continue the process further and actually visit the USA. If my wife or kids want US green cards and to pursue a path towards citizenship, it's likely we will have to put life on hold for another 5 years, not ideal but a sacrifice I am willing to if thet's what my family wants. As for me, my quality of life is far higher here in Cambodia than it ever was in the USA, so I'm not interested in spending a day longer than my family legally has to.

How The VIP Delegator Raffle Works
Ā Ā Ā Every raffle I tally the total HP delegated to the @asean.hive curation account, and one raffle ticket is allocated for each HP delegated by you ASEAN Hivers (excluding [me] @justinparke, @srey-yuu, @sakana & @sreypov), with a minimum delegation of 50 HP to be eligible for the ASEAN Hive VIP š„ BRONZE Raffle.
Ā Ā Ā There are five separate raffles, one for each VIP tier, and each tier's prize is a post beneficiary status equivalent to the tier's total percentage of raffle tickets allocated. This means the percentages of each tier's share of the prize is fluid, and I think it makes the raffle more fun and fairer.
Ā Ā Ā This week's total effective HP is 186,544, and total delegated HP is 171,008 HP (134,971 HP minus ASEAN team member delegations & delegations under 50 HP), so I plugged the numbers into my Raffle Picker iOS app, selected "pick winners," and the results were instantly and randomly calculated.
