📾 Non-Olympic Breakdancing Battle 🕺
November 1st, 2024featured authors receive 5% post beneficiary
The Olympics may have ruined breakdancing forever, but that doesn't mean this legit sport doesn't still live on in places all over the world. Breakdancing is super common in Southeast Asia, far more than karaoke or 4 people riding one motorbike. It is for this reason that countries like Laos and Brunei lead the world in the latest breakdancing technology and equipment, and it's also the reason I determined a breakdancing competition would be a hit in the lounge.
Australia has not been formally invited to the ASEAN Hive breakdancing battle, but I think that's understandable given their history with this sport. The cardboard is free and you likely all still have tracksuits from the recent purchase I made, so feel free to kit yourself out and join the battle, but do remember to keep your keys out of your pockets, we don't any more fatal injuries. Speaking of fatal injuries, there are 5 awesome posts below from each of our VIP tiers, do have a look.....
Trip not going so great so far, I've been sick almost the entire time in Mexico
by: @gooddream - ASEAN HIVE 💎 VIP DIAMOND(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ) My first ever trip to Mexico has been a lot less delightful than I had hoped it would be thus far and this has nothing to do with the company around me. I am seeing many of my family members for the first time in over 5 years so this is really important to me. As I have said before I was initially not able to visit because of Covid and then it was because of visa issues in Vietnam.
Foreigners behaving badly: It's all too common over here in Thailand
by: @jack.russelle - ASEAN HIVE VIP 💿 PLATINUM(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ) When reading the English language news in Thailand we frequently come across stories about foreigners doing really terrible things in public, normally they are foreign men, and normally they are living a life of excess and drunkenness. You don't have to walk around for very long in any of the foreigner populated cities in Thailand to realize this. Now just to be clear, Thai people act out in public as well but for the most part they tend to be more reserved and when "one of their own" acts a fool in public I think it is just as frowned upon, perhaps moreso, than when a foreigners does it.

Returning to Melanting Temple: A Family’s Prayer for Prosperity
by: @putu300 - ASEAN HIVE VIP 🥉 BRONZE(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ) I went to Melanting Temple in West Bali for the new moon, which, according to the Balinese calendar, is a good time to pray. I did this with my family—my wife and children—so we all traveled about an hour and a half to reach the temple. It was around 3:30 in the afternoon when we set out, under a cloudy sky with a light drizzle that made the weather pleasantly cool. Normally, the drive would take longer from the west, but I managed to make it in an hour by speeding up a bit.
