Hi all, welcome back to my #running blog!

After last weekend run I noticed my right knee feeling a little bit more tense, therefore I adjusted my training schedule a little bit in order to not overstress that knee and risk an injury. Can’t have an injury 1.5 month before the Marathon - so when in doubt rest is the awnser.

I did do an easy run on Tuesday, but wanted to justify for myself that I could take the Wednesday off - so I did a second workout that evening focussed on my calves rather than the muscles you mostly use with running. I went skipping/ jumping rope for 25 min. It was a lot of fun and still have the skills I had back in my boxing days - but I found out yesterday that my body wws not used anymore to that intensity. Calves feeling very tensed - so i am going to incorporate it more often in my schedule!

Doing a few easy days felt good for my knees, so today I felt completely rested and was able to do a fun paced run in the evening!

Goal was to test my knee and just have a comfortable pace and relax! In my area there are a lot of fun routes where in the evening there are no lights. So when I go running in the dark I try not to forget my own lights, while these lights are not strong enough to see the ground you are running on (that stays an adventure) it is strong enough for passing cars to see you!
