The run, titled Run Healthy Lungs, was held on 1 December at door 6 of Gelora Bung Karno. This running event is free of charge, but is only limited to 300 participants. These 300 participants received a BIB nametag, blue jersey, medal, and refreshments in the form of bananas and mineral water.
Initially, the flag off started at 6am, but due to a few obstacles and many participants who arrived late, the flag off was only held at 6.40am. I don't think it's a problem because the event is just a fun run. What's important is that we keep moving together for lung cancer awareness month.
I started at my usual pace of 7, then quickened up a bit to pace 6 in kilometres two and 3, the rest of the kilometres I was back to my usual comfortable pace. I finished with a total time of 29:54 with a total distance of 4.26km and an average pace of 7:01/km.
A very refreshing morning, met a lot of new people too. After the finish, there was zumba that could be followed by all participants, as well as a speech by Sandiaga Uno as the former minister of tourism of Indonesia.
In this event, participants can also be screened for indications of healthy or problematic lungs, lung specialist doctors are brought in directly to help consult. Isn't it fun?
Finally, I was able to spend a useful weekend. May we all always be healthy and avoid lung cancer and other cancers. Stay healthy everybody!
Hi, I am the child of the universe, I like to read books with various genres. I was born in the city of batik but can't draw batik yet. I want to be a novelist, but my works are only short poems that are included in anthology books.
