The howling of a blizzard, the creak of snow underfoot, somewhere, you can hear a car skidding, the sound of a lump of snow falling from the roof onto a tin canopy above the store, such, probably, is the music of winter.
Maybe this is not the most intricate musical composition, but, it is unique, each instrument is unique.
Sometimes, the music of winter is absolutely silent.
You don’t hear anything, but the dance that snowflakes dance in the sky suggests that not everything you hear can be called music. Sometimes, you need to see the music, touch it, feel the cold, which will gradually disappear in the warmth of your palms.
This music is unhurried, as opposed to speeding cars.
It helps to see dance where there is none, only motionless tree trunks.
The music gives us memories of butterflies and migratory birds, of green wheat that hid under snow-white snowdrifts.
But, unfortunately, or fortunately, this music obeys the rules and it will stop, giving way to the music of spring.
