I hope you are well or are trying to be well. I'm a little bit bad. I've got a really bad stiff neck, I think it's the shape of the pillow that's causing it. Now I put a heat patch on it and I hope it works. Today we are going with you from Sultanahmet - Eminönü to Beyoğlu, Taksim.

The beauty and calmness of Gezi Park has always impressed me. Of course, when it is related to political issues, I always feel a drop of tears flowing from my eyes. Of course, I will not tell you about this part because I promised myself that I would not reflect my politics-loving personality to Hive. Every once in a while, of course, it gets out of tune, but so be it.

Our journey we started from Avcılar ended in Beyoğlu after about 1 hour. This time we didn't make many transfers, just one bus. Our destination was İstiklâl Street. My goal there was to take my cousin to Sephora 😂 She was going to look for a product she couldn't find in Azerbaijan.

When we arrived at Gezi Park, my cousin said that she felt like she was breathing with the fresh air. Of course, I immediately told her all the stories I knew about this place. In the meantime, the fact that we both knew English helped us a lot because when she didn't understand the words I said in Turkish, it was quite easy to say them in English when I didn't know the Azerbaijani-Russian equivalent. Of course, in the meantime, while my aunt was resting on the side, we were walking in the park with small steps. Although it was cold, it had a very calming atmosphere.

After this part, we turned our way towards Taksim Square, as I said, our aim was İstiklâl Street, but my cousin wanted to enter the mosque, which looked more like a rich business than a fancy one. I think she was in a learning process at that time, curious about everything she saw.

We opened our lungs with this little walk. It felt good in the morning, I lie to you. I felt a little more awake. It felt better than drinking coffee. As you can see in the gif I added, we headed towards the mosque part of the road. I wish the trees there were also on this road.

Of course, the closer we got to the mosque, the better we saw this monument. That's why this was our first stop. You can understand that I couldn't resist when I saw Atatürk. I also don't understand the meaning of taking your own photo in front of such monuments and mosques, so I skipped taking my own photo.

Personally, I didn't like this mosque at all. It little smelled of money. It was as if someone had made a special effort to make it look like this. Since it was a new mosque, I might have been a bit unfamiliar with it. I have already said that they are not my favourite.

As far away from art as it can be, I guess. Yes, then you may think why are you sharing this mosque, but I wanted to share a place that I didn't like because it seemed like it was not good to share only the places I liked.

I was also quite surprised to hear that the toilet in this mosque is paid. This is a mosque after all, what money? It is not a representative fee like 1 TL, but 10 TL. I guess money greed and Muslimness are used as desired, hmmmmmm 🤫

Anyway, enough of my nerves. After this mosque we have a museum and a church on this street. They are great places, especially the museum, and I'll show you some little things, too, in the next chapters. So see you for now.

Umarım iyisinizdir ya da iyi olmaya çalışıyorsunuzdur. Ben biraz kötüyüm. Çok fena boynum tutuldu, yastığın şekli sanırım buna sebep olan. Şimdi bir ısı bandı koydum ve umarım işe yarar. Bugün sizinle birlikte Sultanahmet - Eminönü kısmından çıkıp Beyoğlu'na yani Taksim'e gidiyoruz.

Gezi parkının güzelliği ve sakinliği beni her zaman etkilemiştir. Tabii bir de politik konularla ilişkisi varken gözümden bir damla yaşın aktığını hep hissederim. Bu kısımdan tabii ki de size bahsetmeyeceğim çünkü politika seven kişiliğimi Hive'a yansıtmayacağıma kendime söz vermiştim. Arada bir elbette ayarı kaçıyor fakat olsun o kadar da.

Avcılar'dan başladığımız yolculuğumuz yaklaşık 1 saat sonra Beyoğlu'nda sonlandı. Bu sefer çok fazla aktarma yapmadan, sadece bir otobüsle, varabildik. Hedefimiz İstiklâl Caddesi'ydi. Orada hedefim kuzenimi Sephora'ya götürmekti 😂 Azerbaycan'da bulamadığı bir ürüne bakacaktı.

Gezi Parkı'na geldiğimizde kuzenim temiz havasıyla birlikte nefes aldığını hissettiğini söyledi. Tabii bende hemen burası ile ilgili bildiğim bütün hikâyeleri anlattım. Bu sırada da ikimizin de İngilizce biliyor olması çok işimize yaradı çünkü benim Türkçe söylediğim kelimeleri anlamadığında, Azerice-Rusça karşılığını bilmediğimde İngilizce olarak söylemek oldukça kolaydı. Tabii bu sırada da teyzem kenarda dinlenirken biz parkta ufak adımlarla yürüyorduk. Oldukça sakinleştirici bir havası vardı soğuk olmasına rağmen.

Bu kısımdan sonra ise yolumuzu Taksim Meydanı'na doğru çevirdik, dediğim gibi amacımız İstiklâl Caddesi'ydi ama kuzenim gördüğü süslüden çok zengin işine benzeyen camiye girmek istedi. O sırada gördüğü her şeyi merak eden bir öğrenme sürecinin içerisindeydi sanırım.

Bu minik yürüyüş ile ciğerlerimizi açmış olduk. Sabah vaktinde iyi geldi ne yalan söyleyeyim. Biraz daha uyanmış gibi hissettim kendimi. Kahve içmekten daha iyi hissettirdi. Eklediğim gifte de görebileceğiniz yolun cami kısmına doğru ilerledik. Gönül isterdi ki oradaki ağaçlar bu yolda da olsun.

Tabii camiye yaklaştıkça bu anıtı da daha iyi gördük. Bu yüzden de ilk durağımız burası oldu. Atatürk gördüğümde dayanamadığımı anlamışsınızdır. Bir de bu tarz anıtların ve camilerin önünde kendi fotoğrafını çekmenin anlamını anlayamıyorum bu yüzden de kendi fotoğrafımı çekmeyi pas geçtim.

Şahsen ben bu camiyi hiç sevmedim. Burası biraz para kokuyordu. Sanki birisi burayı bu şekilde göstermek için özel bir çaba harcamış gibiydi. Yeni bir cami olduğu için de biraz yadırgamış olabilirim. Zaten favorim olmadıklarını da daha önce söylemiştim.

Sanattan ne kadar uzak olabilirse o kadar uzak sanırım. Evet, o zaman bu camiyi neden paylaşıyorsun diye düşünebilirsiniz fakat sadece beğendiğim yerleri paylaşmak da iyi değil gibi geldiği için beğenmediğim bir yeri de paylaşmak istedim.

Ayrıca bu caminin de tuvaletinin ücretli olduğunu duymak oldukça şaşırttı. Burası cami sonuçta, ne parası? Bir 1 TL gibi temsili bir ücret değil 10 TL. Sanırım para gözlülük ve müslümanlık istenilen gibi kullanılıyor, hmmmmmm 🤫

Neyse, sinirlerimin bu kadar gerildiği yeter. Bu camiden sonra bir müzemiz ve kilisemin var bu cadde üzerinde. Onlar, özellikle de müze, harika yerler ve size minik şeyler de göstereceğim. Bunlar ilerleyen bölümlerde. Bu yüzden şimdilik görüşmek üzere. Kendinize dikkat edin, sağlık ve sevgiyle kalın ve lütfen unutmayın ki;
