Straightforwardness in beekeeping.
Beekeeping, as it seems to me, is the area of life and activity where there are no half-tones, or, speaking in the language of geometry, everything is very straightforward here.
Yes, if you as a beekeeper made a mistake at any stage, it will definitely come back to you as retribution and you will not be able to agree, find common ground, achieve flexibility in decision-making from bees as in trade and politics.
You did not put on a protective suit and did not use a smoker, get a bee sting in your nose, or, you did not expand the hive by adding frames with clean wax and ended up with a swarming of bees, there are many such situations and over time we will talk about everything, but today, for me, this topic is interesting in the field of geometry in which bees are - academics!
Once, walking along the border of two summer cottages, ours and our neighbor's, which were separated by a fence made of chain-link fencing, I was attacked by bees whose hives were on the neighbor's plot.
The bees got tangled in my hair and when I wanted to remove them, they stung me in the forehead, unpleasant impressions and a surge of negative emotions on my part.
Forgiveness is necessary, but after a while I learned that there is a method for the beekeeper to avoid such incidents, especially since some people have a special sensitivity to bee venom and this can result in serious consequences for both the one stung by the bees and the beekeeper.
The secret to solving such problems is not cheap, but before starting an apiary in a crowded place, you need to take care not to create problems for your neighbors, and for this, you need to use the special straightforwardness of bees, namely, the peculiarities of their flight.
When a scout bee finds a nectar source, it tells the worker bees the exact coordinates of this source and leaves a fragrant trail in the air that the worker bees sense and follow from point A, which is the hive, to point B, where there are flowering plants, and back along the same route.
When making such a flight, bees fly in a straight line, and do not skirt all the unevenness of the earth's surface in a low-level flight.
Therefore, if in front of the hive from which the bee flies out there is a high, solid fence, and not a lattice fence, the bee will fly up to the height of the fence and head at this level towards the nectar source, and, moreover, above the heads of people passing by.
Someone will say that a solid fence is expensive, that you can spend the money on something else, but who told you that beekeeping is a cheap activity that does not require investment?
In addition, a solid fence can be used wisely and get more benefit from it.
