Living In The Now

Hello Hello Bees of the Hive

I have been busy this weekend and this is my wee blog post for the WE98 Weekend-Engagement Friday blog prompts by @galenkp in The Weekend community

Option 4 is my choice: Favourite moment with nature

In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect. Trees can be contorted, bent in weird ways, and they’re still beautiful. – Alice Walker

This quote for me perfectly sums up Nature, it is imperfectly perfect, a bit like me🤣

People that know me, will know that I love nature, and I try to be outside in nature whenever I have or make the chance.

One thing about animals and nature is that they Live In The Now.

This is something I do. As a fan of nature I have many pictures, however, some of my favourite moments with nature either I do not have as readily accessible photographs or there were not any photographs taken. Yes, I do remember the days before we all had smartphone cameras🤣

I would have loved to have shown the picture of an elephant walking over a friend of mine's jeep on the beach in Gabon, West Africa because her dog had been barking at at the elephant. Or the time a Cayman crocodile swam over my head in a swamp whilst I underwater attaching a tow rope to the front of the jeep that I was travelling in which had stalled and got stuck in a swamp.

Or the time I watched in awe driving through Ocala National Forest in Florida as a black bear and big rattlesnake went eyeball to eyeball on the track in front of me for about five minutes before deciding not to attack each other and going their separate ways.
Or pictures of a gorilla in the rough watching my golf ball as I sliced my shot big time, and then picking it up as I decided not to go look for it, snakes you know and me don't go so I was not going in that rough!

I love nature and have been stupid fortunate enough to have seen amazing wild animals up close!

However, like the animals, I live in the here and now!

That is why I have shown this picture.

Coming back from the supermarket this afternoon, I saw that my front garden needed some weeding, specifically getting rid of some dandelions as they grow through the gravel, when I say garden it is really a gravel space between the front of the house and the pavement or sidewalk!
There was a busy bee going about his work. I snapped the wee bee hard at work, and look at pollen all over the bee.
Without bees pollinating our planet would be over as far as humans are concerned.
We owe them everything!
This then is my appropriate favourite moment with nature, watching the tiny hero and saviour of OUR planet in action!

Thanks for reading and go do something to save our planet🌍

I really loved your macro shots this weekend, they were amazing!

I appreciate that, thank you, the bee was so busy I was able to get up close and personal!

You have the speed to capture beautiful shots of bees, I love bees too. :)

They sense danger I think so I am no threat and they are happy to be pictured, yes bees are amazing:)

Awwn, partner this is so heart touching just reading through. I love your perspective of "live in the now", it's imperfectly perfect 😄😄.

Thank you for sharing with us your love for nature once more, partner:)

hehe partner thank you! Yes I do like my nature and imperfectly perfect!
How has your day been, I am late getting onto Hive, again 🤣

My day have been good. Seems like you are having a lot of fun with nature😇😇.

I love nature, always fun, unlike some humans who can be a pain🤣🤣🤣

I know right, please do what makes you happy.

oh trust me, I do what makes me happy and I do it often :) As should you Hope!

That's good to hear, I'm working on that too.

Glad to hear it Hope :)

Here in Tasmania there are bumble bees.. such fluffy balls of wonder!!! I imagine riding them if I was only half a cm tall.

hahahaha yes yes yes, we have big bumble bees here too, and I too have thought being on the back of one having an amazing ride through the air
hehe brilliant :)

Your life is action-packed Tito Ed and although you went thru dangerous situations, I can only imagine the thrill you had then. And living in the now, I love that❤

🤐🤐🤐😉😂

Now is all we have for sure, so we might as well make the most of it.

And can you imagine how much a picture of Eddie W. in action with one of those wild animals would be worth in laughs? I would have paid to see one ;)

Have a super week, Super Ed!

I would have paid to see one ;)

jaja oh I know that !

pero yes enjoy the now!

Have an awesome week Super Eli

Have an awesome week too, Super Ed! 😸😺😽

Thank you 🐈🐈🐈👸👸👸

Gosh so true Tengo, we often lose sight of the tenuous links that hold it all together hey?

A great photo and sentiment behind it. Goes nicely with Hive too :)

Hope your weekend was awesome. 🐝

Yes you are right Andy.
Too often we don't see the wood for the trees!
Was a great weekend and I hope you have a good week, well better than Monday anyway 🤣

Many unusual adventures, you can write a book haha, nice photo friend.

hehe yeah perhaps I am and thanks 🤣

You have had great experiences with nature, I don't know how I would have reacted with only half of your experiences.
That photo you present reminds me of my little daughter (1.50m) because she is afraid of bees after one stung her in the ear when she was 10 years old and she still can't get over it. 😅

I love this Ed. Mindfulness in action. Living each moment to its fullest is something we should all aspire to doing. Like you, I have so many moments that I never captured on film... but I hold them close as vivid images in my mind and special memories in my heart. Even to this day, I will often just put away the phone and not take pictures because I don't want to lose the joy of the actual experience, and often taking out the camera, takes more away than it adds. It's a weird balance to reach. So what are you going to create in your front garden then? or is it already a bed of wildflowers for the little bees and butterflies 🤗 I enjoyed this post and have upvoted it on behalf of the VYB Curation Project.

Thanks Sam, the older I get the more I just live by that and live in the now!
Oh the camera, we are similar, sometimes I too will just saviour it, the camera does not always capture what we see and feel, those are the memories that will stay with us :)

I love the "imperfectly perfect" you used to describe Nature. 😁😁 That is one of the best qualities to describe the nature with and I know you to be a lover of nature. See how you captured the bee, so attractive and beautiful on the flowers.

Thank you @princessbusayo yeah I love the imperfectly perfect quote 😁😁
Thank you yes nature always inspires me and I am in awe of it!

I love this! Nature is indeed imperfectly perfect, filled with possibilities and hopes including dust, muds and crazy winds and all. At the end of the day, we are just making it all home. Live it. Have a great new week, uncle Ed. I love the macro shot!

It really is a classic quote Mrs P, nature is imperfectly perfect and so are we:)
Yes we just making it all home, thank you and I do love taking pics of the bees, they are always the best models.
Have a great week too Mrs P 😁
