Hello Hello Bees of the Hive
I have been busy this weekend and this is my wee blog post for the WE98 Weekend-Engagement Friday blog prompts by @galenkp in The Weekend community
In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect. Trees can be contorted, bent in weird ways, and they’re still beautiful. – Alice Walker
This quote for me perfectly sums up Nature, it is imperfectly perfect, a bit like me🤣
People that know me, will know that I love nature, and I try to be outside in nature whenever I have or make the chance.
One thing about animals and nature is that they Live In The Now.
This is something I do. As a fan of nature I have many pictures, however, some of my favourite moments with nature either I do not have as readily accessible photographs or there were not any photographs taken. Yes, I do remember the days before we all had smartphone cameras🤣
I would have loved to have shown the picture of an elephant walking over a friend of mine's jeep on the beach in Gabon, West Africa because her dog had been barking at at the elephant. Or the time a Cayman crocodile swam over my head in a swamp whilst I underwater attaching a tow rope to the front of the jeep that I was travelling in which had stalled and got stuck in a swamp.
Or the time I watched in awe driving through Ocala National Forest in Florida as a black bear and big rattlesnake went eyeball to eyeball on the track in front of me for about five minutes before deciding not to attack each other and going their separate ways.
Or pictures of a gorilla in the rough watching my golf ball as I sliced my shot big time, and then picking it up as I decided not to go look for it, snakes you know and me don't go so I was not going in that rough!
I love nature and have been stupid fortunate enough to have seen amazing wild animals up close!
However, like the animals, I live in the here and now!
That is why I have shown this picture.
Coming back from the supermarket this afternoon, I saw that my front garden needed some weeding, specifically getting rid of some dandelions as they grow through the gravel, when I say garden it is really a gravel space between the front of the house and the pavement or sidewalk!
There was a busy bee going about his work. I snapped the wee bee hard at work, and look at pollen all over the bee.
Without bees pollinating our planet would be over as far as humans are concerned.
We owe them everything!
This then is my appropriate favourite moment with nature, watching the tiny hero and saviour of OUR planet in action!
Thanks for reading and go do something to save our planet🌍
