I gathered a lot of energy when I went on holiday to my hometown. I am in Istanbul now. I feel happier and more peaceful. Today I will share with you Gülhane Park, one of the places we visited during the semester break.

Ben memleketime tatile gittiğimde yüklü miktarda enerji topladım. Şu an İstanbul'dayım. Kendimi daha mutlu ve huzurlu hissediyorum. Bugün sizlerle yine sömestr tatilinde gezdiğimiz yerlerden biri olan Gülhane parkını paylaşacağım.
We travelled to Gülhane park by Marmaray. Since the stop where we got off the Marmaray was close to Gülhane park, we preferred this means of transport. After getting off the Marmaray, after walking for a few minutes, we came to the entrance gate of the park. The first time we entered, there were cafes in front of us. Abandoned cafes were being rebuilt. They would probably be open for business in the near future. Just ahead of these cafes was Fuat Sezgin's grave.
Gülhane parkına gitmek için yolculuğumuzu marmarayla yaptık. Marmarayda indiğimiz durak Gülhane parkına yakın olduğu için bu ulaşım aracını tercih ettik. Marmaraydan indikten sonra bir kaç dakika yürüdükten sonra parkın giriş kapısına geldik. İlk girdiğimiz anda karşımızda kafeler vardı. Terkedilmiş kafeler tekrar inşaa ediliyordu. Muhtemelen yakın zamanda işletmeye açık olacaktı. Bu kafelerin az ilerisinde Fuat Sezgin'in mezarı vardı.
Right next to Fuat Sezgin's grave was the Islamic Museum. Since it was morning time, the museum doors had not opened yet. The park was so big that it was stretching upwards. It had a huge area and there were trees of different ages. Old, middle-aged and young trees. They all added a different harmony. It had clean air. For the first time in Istanbul, I felt such fresh and clean air. And I took the opportunity to breathe in plenty of fresh air.
Fuat Sezgin'in mezarında hemen yanında İslam müzesi vardı. Sabah saati olduğu için müze kapıları daha açılmamıştı. Gezmeye buradan devam ettik. Park o kadar büyüktü ki yukarıya doğru uzayıp gidiyordu. Devasa alana sahip ve farklı farklı yaşlarda ağaçlar vardı. Yaşlı, orta yaşta ve genç ağaçlar. Hepsi farklı bir ahenk katıyordu. Tertemiz havası vardı. İstanbul'da ilk defa böyle ferah ve temiz havayı hissettim. Ve fırsattan istifade bol bol temiz havayı içime çekmiştim.
In Gülhane Park, brief information about the park is given. I always read such tables because I want to visit the places I visit consciously.
Gülhane Park is the garden of Topkapı Palace and the first public park. Atatürk announced the new letters here and the Tanzimat edict was read in this park. With an area of 163 acres, the information that there are tree-lined paths, recreation areas, children's playgrounds and sculptures was written on the signs. We came across such signs throughout the area we visited.

Gülhane parkı, Topkapı sarayının bahçesi olmakla birlikte ilk halk parkı özelliğine sahip. Atatürk'ün yeni harfleri burada ilan etmiş, Tanzimat fermanı da bu parkta okunmuş. 163 dönümlük alana sahip ağaçlarla çevrili yolları, dinlenme alanları, çocuk oyun alanları ve heykelleri olduğu bilgisi tabelalarda yazıyordu. Böyle tabelalar gezdiğimiz alan boyunca karşımıza çıktı.
The park is generally in order. It is being cleaned. There are directional signs. This must be what visitors need the most. Because it is a really big area. There are sculptures in the gardens. Benches have taken their place from place to place. It looked attractive for a picnic. Another corner was decorated with a pool and a visual feast was created in these pools. Security forces were constantly showing themselves. Their contribution to the visitors to make their trips in a comfortable and peaceful way was quite high. Because this park has witnessed many events in the past. From time to time, disturbances were also experienced in this park.
Park genel olarak bir düzen içinde. Temizliği yapılıyor. Yön işaretleri var. Ziyaretçilerin en çok ihtiyacı olan şey bu olmalı. Çünkü gerçekten büyük bir alan. Bahçelerde heykeller bulunuyor. Banklar yer yer yerini almış. Piknik yapmak için cazip duruyordu. Başka bir köşesi havuzla süslenmiş ve bu havuzlarda görsel şölen oluşturulmuş. Güvenlik güçleri de sürekli kendini gösteriyordu. Ziyaretçilerin rahat ve huzurlu bir şekilde gezilerini yapmalarına katkıları oldukça fazlaydı. Çünkü bu park geçmişte bir sürü olaya tanıklık etmiş. Zaman zaman karışıklıklar bu parkta da yaşanmıştı.
The gate of the park leading to the street where the tram was located looked beautiful because it was a historical building. It almost surrounded the park. Its wall was also very high. In front of this gate there were peddlers selling corn, chestnuts and bagels. The smell of chestnut spread around. It attracted great interest of the visitors. We went to the street from this gate. The shops on the road were colourful. Each shop or store sells different things. All of them attracted attention separately along the street. It was a park where I felt the fresh air and peace in Istanbul. It is definitely a park that should be visited. I recommend you to see it too.

Parkın tramvayın olduğu caddeye çıkan kapısı tarihi yapı olduğu için güzel görünüyordu. Adeta parkı çevrelemişti. Duvarı da çok yüksekti. Bu kapının önünde mısır, kestane, simit satan seyyar satıcılar bulunuyordu. Kestane kokusu ortama yayılmıştı. Ziyaretçilerin büyük ilgisini çekmişti. Bu kapıdan caddeye çıktık. Yol üzerinde dükkanlar rengarenkti. Her dükkan veya mağaza faklı farklı şeyler satıyor. Caddede yol boyunca hepsi ayrı ayrı dikkat çekiyordu. İstanbul'da temiz havayı ve huzuru hissettiğim bir parktı. Kesinlikle ziyaret edilmesi gereken bir park. Sizlerinde görmesini tavsiye ederim.
