They say spending just 20 minutes outside every day will improve your well-being and make you feel more relaxed.
And even better is spending 2 hours hiking the Ice Age Trail in Wisconsin. It's a beautiful place to take a walk!
Autum olive berries are getting ripe. I added some last year to a batch of scones I made and they were quite delicious. There are elderberries that are almost ready to be picked, too. They will get made into jam.
These oyster mushrooms were growing on the same willow tree that we found some growing on last year.
I fried them in a little butter and then made a scramble by adding a couple eggs and some feta cheese. Talk about a delicious breakfast!
With all the rain we have had this year, it has been a great year for mushrooms!
I think that the best way to experience the world is by going outside and exploring it. Learn about a new plant each time you go for a walk so that you can greet it by name the next time you see it!
