Humble Pie 1960s To 1970s

New Highway Code Let's Go

British hard rock supergroup, turbocharged versions of blues that proved influential to many rock and metal bands, lets go rock once again, loud and proud!

Rock your world, good dose of this gets the blood going and neighbours looking out the window to see what the hell is happening....

Humble Pie as mentioned many times in previous content, band members moved around changing bands, or forming new groups as link will indicate who went where and when during their time.

Natural Born Bugie (aka Natural Born Boogie) (1969)

Teach some about a natural born woman, he's trying to rock his blue suede shoes the lyrics are as fun today as they were back then, we still boogie listening to these songs...

For Your Love (1970)

Simple session music that rolls like waves over your soul bringing an ecstatic feeling, shivers down your spine.

30 Days In The Hole (1972)

Never really hit the charts on their fifth album, my interpretation always went along the lines of them being bust for drugs ending up in a jail, I may be wrong it wasn't a bad song, more an expression of the days in life when things went wrong.

Many lyrics related to current events in regions folk lived in, or afar with stories we often could not relate to, together the sound brought meaning to content creators experiences.

What is meant by "eat humble pie"?
idiom. informal. : to admit that one was wrong or accept that one has been defeated. They had to eat humble pie when the rumors they were spreading were proved false. from Merriam-Webster

How are you dear friend @joanstewart good morning
How much energy there is in your post, and what good choice music for this occasion, I love them all, especially “30 days in the hole”
Thank you very much for activating our day

Many walked in fear when dabbling with drugs back then, when police did throw you before the courts and you ended up in jail, well that was my take on the song. Have a productive day and always positive.

The voices and tunes are so alive that you might want to dance while listening to it. But underneath the songs there are deep meaning.

Great vocals and musicians popped up everywhere during those years, it was good fun as most lyrics held meaning.

When several egoists get together, they often fall far short of the expectations placed on their musical work. With a few exceptions. Cream, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Blind Faith, Crosby, Stills & Nash or the Travelling Wilburys.😎

Very few made it all the way through "drugs, rock 'n roll age", Rolling Stones Brian Jones passed away, a few replacements over the years but mainly the same.

To best of my knowledge Golden Earing remained the same, a Dutch band who did change the bands name (The Tornados), in my collection as Golden Earing "Eight Miles High".

Many are still alive making appearances from the era, yup "I'm still standing" comes to mind, many never thought John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne would still be with us. !LOLZ

Never stop the music, thanks for visiting Silver's.

Good rock😀👏

An age that was super exciting if you enjoyed music.

it must be 50 years since i heard any Humble Pie. had completely forgotten them

So many good bands around back then it is fun reading other peoples posts and still finding more. Have a great day!

Cracking tunes, like the Stones in many ways!

A crackerjack band with Steve Marriott's voice, talented Peter Frampton, what a pity they simply did not sound like they got along toward the end. Made awesome sound!

It's that band thing isn't it? To many personalities stuck together for too long. It's a recipe for disaster!

Talented guys went their own way to forge bands of their own.

Irony is they still touring under the name with different members, https://humblepieofficial.com/category/news/
