Listening to the teachings of God through his servant is what gives us joy as Christian because it is the means to further build our relationship with him and know the things he expects from us his Children. This afternoon bro Daniel teaches us about doing good and doing it willingly.
"Galatians 6:10 So then, as often as we have the chance, we should do good to everyone, and especially to those who belong to our family in the faith"
We should not be tired of doing good because it is God commandments. It is more good to give than to received, we should not see giving as a liability instead we should see it as a privilege. If God ask us to choose between asking people for help and helping people which one are we going to choose without thinking, that you have to give does not mean God loves you more or it is by your doing no everybody is going through a process and everyone in their lifetime will need help once in a while.
Giving comes with willingness, God want us to gives willingly and not doing it for giving sake. Willingness has alot of benefit for us apart from God blessing attached to it. Willingness from the act of giving help us to be happy with ourselves, gives us the sense that we are impacting our society, achieving success fast, more stability in life and a good state of mind. For us to receive God blessing and proof that we really understand his teachings we must possess the attribute of doing God's will willingly.
"Philimon 1:21. I am sure, as I write this, that you will do what I ask---in fact I know that you will do even more."
"1 Corinthians 14:37. If anyone supposes he is God's messenger or has a spiritual gift, he must realize that what I am writing to you is the Lord's command."
God's commandments are not giving to us for us to just read, understand and not follow it is the path God want us to walk in. Obeying God commandments is very crucial in our Christian race and God want us to show mercy, mercy is the act of doing good if we want God to be merciful on us we should also show mercy to our fellow brethren.
"Romans 10:17. So then, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message comes through preaching Christ."
In the world we live in today, our character and way of life can easily preach the good news to people so when we say we believe in God it should also reflect on our character and behavior to our fellow men.
