Hello, beautiful friends of Hive Blockchain! I hope all of you are doing well and healthy. I am also good and enjoying my life. It's Monday 27th of January here in the Philippines. Today I am sharing with you my film review on the new movie Gold starring Zac Efron.
STORYLINE
Set against the backdrop of a vast, unique, and unforgiving landscape, Gold is a taut thriller about greed and the lengths people will go to secure themselves a fortune. When two drifters traveling through the desert stumble across the biggest gold nugget ever found, the dream of immense wealth and greed takes hold. They hatch a plan to protect and excavate their bounty with one man leaving to secure the necessary equipment. The other man remains and must endure the harsh desert climate, preying wolves and intruders, whilst battling the creeping doubt that he has been abandoned to his own fate.
REVIEW
So imagine a film with an atmosphere and feeling to it of loneliness, emptiness, and thirst.
Now imagine a cliched trick on the audience plenty of horror films have used before, where the situation isn't quite what it's presented as?
Now imagine that bomb of truth just dropping at the very end of the movie, just destroying what feels like 2 hours you've spent watching a film that's going to save itself, transforming into a happy, positive vibe-filled movie, that just NEVER COMES.
What contents are in this film, just feels entirely wasted for all its worth due to its horrendous ending. There are like 5 characters in this entire movie. 3 of them are irrelevant and pointless, and you'd struggle to name the 2 that matter.
This film is absolutely pointless to watch and just leaves you feeling enraged to have wasted so much time on it. A seriously embarrassing film with a stupid ending that's just sloppy and crude.
So there it is guys, that is my honest opinion. Let me hear at the comments section what you think of the movie. Thank you for reading! Bye!
