Hello Dear Friends of Black And White.
I send you a cordial greeting, and welcome to my blog.
Human beings have always felt the innate need to believe in omnipotent beings. Since the beginning of mankind we have tried to bet on the existence of a supreme being. A being creator of the universe, a being capable of giving the answers that our little knowledge fails to understand.
From the Stone Age to more advanced civilizations such as the Sumerians, Greeks, Egyptians, Ottomans, Romans, Scandinavians, even to our present times, we have believed in gods and through them we have formed various religions, It is the case that religious beliefs play a fundamental role in our lives.
Everyday situations such as abundance or poverty, health or illness, happiness or misfortune can be attributed to divine grace or divine punishment.
The truth is that the more we think we know something, the greater our ignorance really is, and that is where faith comes in. And this faith described in sacred texts is defined as "the confidence in something that will soon arrive, but it is also the conviction of what is not seen" in a few words the hope we have in something we expect, but that has not yet happened.
A couple of days ago I visited a beautiful Catholic church In my city, in it, I could enjoy an atmosphere of peace, while the parishioners raised their prayers to Jehovah (God of the Abrahamic religions) I observed everything around me, I took some pictures and I felt a lot of peace.
While I was taking pictures I saw the hopeful faces of the people, there were even some who were accompanied by their pets, others with great effort were moving in wheelchairs. Children, women, the elderly, everyone was singing with joy and praying.
At that moment I understood that faith is necessary. It nourishes the soul, nourishes our spirit to continue walking on the path of good. I understood at that moment that I have an unshakable faith.
