Let me take you back to a time when homework was reserved for the rich and famous—2016. Life felt a little less chaotic back then, or at least that’s what nostalgia does—it polishes the crazy times into something that looks like “the good old days.” Back then, my mornings kicked off with the usual: grabbing a train, watching the sun peek over the horizon, and zooming off in my car. It was the perfect trifecta of trains, sunrises, and automobiles—who needs coffee when you’ve got that?
But wait, that wasn’t enough of a circus. We decided to throw some fox terrier puppies into the chaos. That’s right, FIVE of them! As if having five kids wasn’t enough of a task, we figured, why not raise a little puppy army? Honestly, those little furballs turned our home upside down, in the most adorable way possible.
Raising puppies is like raising kids, but with less backtalk and more fluff. You never know what kind of chaos you’re going to walk into every morning. Will they have destroyed the kitchen? Will they be curled up, giving you those “we’re innocent” puppy eyes? Either way, it was never boring.
But you know what? It was fun as hell. Watching those tiny paws stumble across the yard, their curiosity literally bouncing with every step, reminded me to slow down and enjoy the moment. It’s funny how little puppies have a way of grounding you—even when everything else is in overdrive.
And speaking of overdrive, today’s a big day. My first live gig with the new band! It’s like coming full circle—just trading the puppy chaos for rock ’n roll chaos. Wish me luck, I might just need it to survive this new adventure.
