Hello CineTV
Robots come in all different shapes and sizes and also all different temperaments. And our selections from this week, really were all over the place as well. Friendly droids to pets, to sentient androids, you name it we had it! It's a cool topic but one that also causes me some fear as to where we might be headed in the future.
I want to thank everyone that particpated in this latest contest! We are definitely getting some good responses recently and I am very appreciative.
Let's get to this week's winners:
First Place
The first place finisher was @gpache with a choice of Ex Machina, found here: https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@gpache/cinetv-contest-84-my-favorite-movie-with-a-robot-ex-machina
Thank you for a very interesting choice of film, that I have not seen. It definitely gets you thinking about humanity and the merger with robotics and what the ramifications might be. Congrats!
Second place
In second place we have @gabsartbook with the choice of Big Hero 6, here: https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@gabsartbook/cinetv-contest-big-hero-6-a-story-of-never-giving-up-or-grandes-heroes-una-historia-de-nunca-rendirse-eng-esp
Big Hero 6 is a very fun movie, a typical Disney plot with a sad story that turns sweet. Baymax is such a great character and I really appreciated your review. Thanks!
Third place
Our third place winner in this contest is @naath with their choice of Wall-E and can be found here: https://peakd.com/hive-121744/@naath/esp-eng-cine-tv-contest-84-favorite-movie-with-a-robot-wall-e-the-robot-that-stole-my-heart
Wall-E is a great character with a lot of heart. A sad tale for humanity in most ways but the robot in this film is definitely the hero. Great choice!
Congrats!
225 CINE COINS and 100 Ecency Points will be transferred to the winners.
Now if anyone disagrees with our choices then please tag us in a comment on this post!
And let's move on to the new contest!
Favorite Movie about Friends
On to our next contest! Thank you to @ecency for sponsoring our Cine TV contests! Check them out at ecency.com. 🙂
OVer this past week, I have been thinking about Matthew Perry (rest in peace!) and his most famous show, Friends. I didn't want to do a contest on the show itself because I thought it might be limiting for those that hadn't watched it. Instead, I decided on a play on words - Favorite Movie About Friends.
So to be clear, this contest isn't about the televesion show Friends or Matthew Perry. The contest is for you to select a movie that is about friends and friendship. I would like you to pick a movie that represents what a friend is and how it plays an important role in the story. You can be as creative as you like with how the friends are connected or why they are important. My biggest concern is that you select an appropriate movie and give a valid explanation as to why you chose that film. Have fun with it!
Thank you all for stopping by and I can't wait to read your selections. Be original!
Please check out the list of rules and suggestions below or feel free to ask me in the Discord channel if you have any questions (caulderfreeman). Enjoy this week's contest and good luck!
