It's always interesting listening to the word of God. Today, I would be putting down what I learnt from bro Eli on the indoctrination teachings

According to

James 5:16Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much

Here, the Bible made us understand that when we see a brother commiting sin, we shouldn't laugh at him, or spread rumour. We should always pray for him. Praying for a sinner means you want him to also come to Christ and be saved. We should not have grudges against someone that offends us. We should always love them, and show them care irrespective of what they do to us

1 peter 4:8And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins

Love is the remedy. It covers everything. We should learn how to love others. No one would want to hurt someone he loves. The love we have for others in our heart will make us do good to them. If there's no love in us, we cannot do good to others

Proverbs 24:9The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men

Even if you didn't do it, it's a sin once you've traveled in the journey of thought. Thinking foolishly isn't a thing God enjoys. We are all sinners, but the word of God has given us the doctrines to guide us on how to live according to the will of God. If you sin against a brother, confess to him, and ask for forgiveness

Psalm 32:5I acknowledged my sin unto thee, And mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; And thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin

Confessing is to God and the person we offend. We are not confessing to anyone else. We are not confessing to our pastor, priest, church leader or any other person. It is to the person we offend and God. And the scripture says our sins will be forgiven if we admit it. According to proverbs 32:5, anyone that cover his sin shall not prosper, but anyone that confess and forsake the sins shall have mercy

When we desist from our sins, and follow the ways of the Lord and his doctrines, we become free from sin, and when we pray, he answers us

Isaiah 65:24And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear

God is always ready to hear us. Even before we speak, he knows our hearts.

Where does God dwell?

Act 17:24God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands

1 Corinthians 3:16Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you

God doesn't dwell in the temple made by man. Some people believe that where God dwell is the building where we worship but it's not. God dwells inside of us. The spirit of God dwell in those that are truly serving him. The church is the congregation who are prayerful, and it's regarded as the house of prayer. We are the house of God because he dwell in us

We should do things orderly.

1 Corinthians 14:40Let all things be done decently and in order

Orderliness is next to godliness. We should learn to do things in order as Christians. If we all claim to follow Jesus Christ, our ways should be in line with what Jesus laid down. When we pray, we kneel down to show humility. In light of this, we ought to keep where we pray clean. Putting off our shoes is a good thing to do before entering the house of the Lord. It's not a doctrine, but it's a way to make the church condusive to worship God with humility

Proverbs 17:1
Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, than an house full of sacrifices with strife

We should be contented with what we have. We should not desire the love of money. It's better to eat what we have in peace. God is there to listen to us. Matthew 7:7 says we should ask him. There is a God who understands everything more than any man. There's no problems bigger than him. God is the only one that can carry our burden and relieve us. With God, all things are possible. May the Lord give us the power to follow his words and abide by them
