Structural Development of the 19th Borehole

in #hive-1768742 days ago

The 19th Hive Borehole Project is making good progress and we are currently working on Phase 2, which revolves around constructing the infrastructure necessary to operationalize the water system and ensure safe water delivery. We approached this project differently than some of our previous projects. Rather than digging foundations for a tower or erecting a wall for the taps, the focus on this particular project has instead been on building a sturdy platform upon which the water tank sits elevated.

Below is the setup which has four strong pillars and on top is where the water tank will be housed. The structure is currently undergoing curing at this stage. This is an important step because it hardens the concrete so that it would be strong enough to support the tank properly and be suitable through years of use. Once the slab cures, we will be able to install on the platform a water tank.

Afterwards, pipelines will be connected to the borehole, the tank, and the taps. They will all be done well to facilitate easy and efficient water access to the community. We look forward to brinign work on Phase 2 to a closure by Wednesday ensuring that all the final touches like tiling work is completed to give the new facility a new look.

Once that is done, we then will be moving into the last phase, Phase 3. This will include official launching of the borehole for community use. It will also be a great opportunity to provide more insight into Hive and how the project is changing lives. Hopefully this event will come off by the close of the week.

This project is has a success with the huge support of the Hive community and the local leaders and residents who have all helped alongside us. Everyone's elses contributions have been immeasurable, and we could not have gotten this far without you. We are hopeful that the project would be impact many lives and we look forward to the benefits it would bring to the good people of Agric-Tamale. Thanks so much everyone, for your continued support.
