You will always hear from those that have been successful in life whether it is in their career, business or perhaps even a sport the one word they always highlight is consistency. I think the older you become you start to realise how important consistency is and wish you had started earlier in life.
Being consistent is the key for success in most things in life and no more so than crypto. Crypto has a set 4 year cycle so you have to ask yourself why do people only become more active only when the prices start to rise? We see this phenomenon play out on HIVE every cycle which makes little to no sense really. Active on the blockchain and not Discord as that does not count like so many I noticed during the last cycle.
If you stay active and consistent for the entire 4 year cycle and forget about price you will achieve far more. Earning HIVE when it is at $.20c is far easier than when it is at $5 so earning HIVE throughout the entire cycle should be common sense. A $5 HIVE would attract more users so common sense tells you the reward pool will be even more diluted than now and why HIVE would be harder to earn.
I have noticed over the years certain people I follow struggle with motivation and I think that is normal. You hear the saying "taking a break" which s not something we can really afford to do. Why would anyone think it is a good idea to take a break? Finding a tool you can use that speaks to you and keeps you motivated day in and day out is essential. I have highlighted what I call the HIVE Petrol Pump which is an app called codergeek.org.
Being able to see the numbers tick over when every block is being processed showing the power of the stake earning it's current APR of 2.84% is magical. This should help keep you active and if this doesn't then maybe there is no hope.
This does help me and inspires me to stay active which makes things that much easier. The fun factor alone may or may not keep you active and why finding inspiration elsewhere is quite important.
When I first started out on HIVE I have to be honest I did not like writing articles. Fast forward nearly 7 years after writing over 4600 articles I now find it therapeutic which also helps me clarify certain things happening around me. They tell you to put pen to paper in order to work things out and that is what I do. I may be sharing what is happening around me not sure what to do next, but it also is a way of problem solving at the same time. Others may comment and give you advice that you may not have even thought about so it is a win win for myself.
Crypto and staying active becomes a way of life even if you are just staking because that also requires farming the rewards on a regular basis. When you talk with others who are not in crypto about crypto they have no idea that this is an every day thing that requires a certain amount of dedication. I guess they think it is all about buying and selling on exchanges, but that is so far from the reality.
My advice to anyone is purely to stay active even if it is for only 30 minutes every day because you will notice the difference in your growth immediately. We know this could require years of grinding away which it will as crypto is by no means an overnight rags to riches investment even if most of the world views crypto in those terms.
