God is sovereign and has done the complete work for us to be freed from the bondage of sin through Jesus Christ and now we are part of the family of God, legitimate children.
And you he made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom we all once lived in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the rest. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in sins, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together and seated us together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages He might show the immeasurable riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared in advance for us to walk in.
Ephesians 2:1-10
In this aspect, salvation refers to that freedom that we obtain at the moment that God rescues us from the slavery of sin, this is a sovereign act on the part of God and makes us a member of His family. This is an act of redemption since Jesus Christ has taken our place, Jesus took the place of the guilty on the cross of Calvary and in this way he paid for what we had to pay by dying for us and resurrecting us to give us life together with him and thus reconcile us with God. This is generally an absolute truth for some of us while at some other time or some other people will not ask themselves some questions like the following:
I understand about salvation but, if I am a good person and live morally well, is it not enough to be part of God's family? There are people who believe that God saves us simply by having good conduct or being morally correct, but the word of God teaches us about this.
As it is written:
There is none righteous, no, not one;
Romans 3:10
6 But we are all like an unclean thing, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; and we all fall away like a leaf, and our iniquities carry us away like the wind.
Isaiah 64:6
God is good, merciful, and full of grace, but let us not forget that God is holy and just and cannot ignore our sinful situation, no matter how small it may be, God takes everything into account, especially if we are talking about the sinful inheritance that we bring from Adam and Eve. This means that we can only be part of God's family through the redemption of Jesus Christ, so we are only "accepted in the beloved."
If we work in the church, do good works, or help people in the name of God, is that not enough to be part of God's family?* This is also something that many people believe is true, but it is simply understanding that good works do not solve the problem of sin that we bring as an inheritance, good works or good conduct do not reconcile us with God. Good works are the result of salvation, of redemption through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary.
5 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;
Romans 5:1
It is important for us to know that salvation, that sovereign work of God, is part of his essence of grace and love, but it is never the product of our effort. God has done everything to bring us closer to him and be part of his family. We simply must take advantage of and enjoy his grace and mercy.

Dios es soberano y ha hecho la obra completa para que seamos libres de la esclavitud del pecado por medio de Jesucristo y ahora somos de la familia de Dios, hijos legítimos.
Y él os dio vida a vosotros, cuando estabais muertos en vuestros delitos y pecados, 2 en los cuales anduvisteis en otro tiempo, siguiendo la corriente de este mundo, conforme al príncipe de la potestad del aire, el espíritu que ahora opera en los hijos de desobediencia, 3 entre los cuales también todos nosotros vivimos en otro tiempo en los deseos de nuestra carne, haciendo la voluntad de la carne y de los pensamientos, y éramos por naturaleza hijos de ira, lo mismo que los demás. 4 Pero Dios, que es rico en misericordia, por su gran amor con que nos amó, 5 aun estando nosotros muertos en pecados, nos dio vida juntamente con Cristo (por gracia sois salvos), 6 y juntamente con él nos resucitó, y asimismo nos hizo sentar en los lugares celestiales con Cristo Jesús, 7 para mostrar en los siglos venideros las abundantes riquezas de su gracia en su bondad para con nosotros en Cristo Jesús. 8 Porque por gracia sois salvos por medio de la fe; y esto no de vosotros, pues es don de Dios; 9 no por obras, para que nadie se gloríe. 10 Porque somos hechura suya, creados en Cristo Jesús para buenas obras, las cuales Dios preparó de antemano para que anduviésemos en ellas.
Efesios 2:1-10
En este aspecto la salvación se refiere a esa libertad que obtenemos al momento que Dios nos rescata de la esclavitud del pecado, este es un acto soberano por parte de Dios y nos hace miembro de su familia. Éste es un acto de redención ya que Jesucristo ha tomado nuestro lugar, es el lugar del culpable lo tomó Jesús en la cruz del calvario y de esa manera pagó por lo que debíamos pagar nosotros muriendo por nosotros y resucitándonos para darnos vida juntamente con él y así reconciliarnos con Dios. Esto generalmente para algunos de nosotros es una verdad absoluta mientras que en algún otro momento o algunas otras personas no se va a hacerse algunas preguntas como las siguientes:
Entiendo lo de la salvación pero, ¿si soy buena persona y vivo moralmente bien no es suficiente para hacer de la familia de Dios? hay personas que creen que Dios nos salva simplemente por tener buena conducta o ser moralmente correcto, pero la palabra de Dios nos enseña acerca de esto.
Como está escrito:
No hay justo, ni aun uno;
Romanos 3:10
6 Si bien todos nosotros somos como suciedad, y todas nuestras justicias como trapo de inmundicia; y caímos todos nosotros como la hoja, y nuestras maldades nos llevaron como viento.
Isaías 64:6
Dios es bueno, misericordioso y lleno de gracia, pero no olvidemos que Dios es santo y justo y no puede pasar por alto nuestra situación de pecado, por más pequeño que sea Dios tiene en cuenta todo, sobre todo si estamos hablando de la herencia pecaminosa que traemos de Adán y Eva. Esto quiere decir que únicamente podemos ser parte de la familia de Dios a través de la redención de Jesucristo, así solamente somos "aceptos en el amado".
Si trabajamos en la iglesia, hacemos buenas obras o ayudamos a las personas en nombre de Dios, ¿no es suficiente ya para ser parte de la familia de Dios?* esto también es algo que muchas personas creen que es así pero es simplemente entender que las buenas obras no resuelven el problema del pecado que traemos como herencia, las buenas obras o la buena conducta no nos reconcilian con Dios. Las buenas obras son resultado de la salvación, de la redención a través de la obra de Jesucristo en la cruz del calvario.
5 Justificados, pues, por la fe, tenemos paz para con Dios por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo;
Romanos 5:1
Es importante que sepamos que la salvación, esa obra soberana de Dios, es parte de su esencia de gracia y amor, pero jamás es producto de nuestro esfuerzo, Dios ha hecho todo para acercarnos a él y ser parte de su familia, nosotros simplemente debemos aprovechar y disfrutar de su gracia y misericordia.
