This is @danaidhbee posting to you from Scotland with my entry for #hiveopenmic week 159 with the theme β€œA Good Friend” selected by the marvellous @jesus-son πŸ™ the talented keyboard player and singer I always see regularly on hive.

He always has some kind and uplifting words to say every time he sings, blogs and comments!

✌🏼@jesus-son β€œI hope you are well my friend” :) you have chosen a good theme this week. Thank you!

For this week I have chosen my some of my instruments as my theme idea of β€œa good friend”, as my instruments are my best friend more than any of my real friends I have ever had LOL!
(Although this Jaw/Jews Harp has sliced my lip after playing it too much, not as friendly today as I thought haha, but I hope the sounds and beats are friendly to you today!)

I hope you all enjoy my madness with me and bounce along to my freestyle beats recorded today especially for hive open mic week 159.
Thank you.

It is obvious that your instruments are your good friends from your displays we see it. An awesome presentation sir. I remember you telling me that you play anything that can make a sound, hehe. Kudos for always making us good stuffs. You rock Dan

Aw yeah, hehee, I have more instruments than I have friends, some good and some bad, some loud, some quiet, some high maintenance, and others low maintenance.
Thank you for stopping by to enjoy my freestyle instrumental

The freestyle is incredible.
Knowing it is original, makes it more unique.
I love it.
I haven't seen anything like that before...Incredible.
The best you created is amazing.
I don't think you're mad hehe
With a few more professional touches here and there this best might just become a big thing.

Hello, and thanks for coming along to watch my freestyle β€˜madness’ haha, yeah i had fun with this one, my lip is pretty sore, scratched and dry now!? Won’t be playing that thing in a while unless I have a huge tub of Vaseline πŸ˜‚ LOL.
Yeah I could see this being a thing, just need a few more touches and a little more lung power and I’m sorted haha

Nice, do you play Rising Star game on Hive?

No, I’m not much of a gamer, how come?
I really only like chess and solitaire, old school πŸ‘

Whoa!! My shopping list keeps expanding!!! Very inspiring stuff!

Yeh hahaha this one was cheap, if you were gonna buy one- spend a little money, this one got rusty and last night sliced my lip! Good fun tho.
Thanks for watching bro :)

Wooow amazing participation!!!
I have My jaw Harp too lml

We use it in this concert in 2011 with My ex mΓΊsic band

Wow, that one looks old! Haha

Yes it is! It's from an ancestral tribe from here, my country πŸ™βš‘

Sweet, where is it from? I need to invest in a good one that doesn’t hurt my lips, there are some real fancy ones out there!
Do you play it often? Or is it just part of your key chain? Lol

Lol πŸ˜‚ I'm from Venezuela. Southamerica. Some indigeous people from here use it. This one was damage and now it's part of My broken wall of instruments and things (i'm sculptur artist - btw I Made a Big homemade madmax steampunk drumset - I Made Hive post playing that monster) and because of that the key it's beside the jaw harp. Here it's very hard to get one. It's very far from the city get one have to Travel to aboriginals territories. I play mostly guitar and drums and Amazonian and maracas chamΓ‘n flautes that I have in My colection. I have a rare mix around here half of My family have aborigin blood and another part it's from europea celts from Euskady basque country and I mix both for make My experimental mΓΊsic around here lol have an amazing day

Cool! That’s amazing you built a drum kit, now that’s a challenge to do!
I ordered my harp online, was only about Β£7, but I bet the handmade aborigine ones play so much better! My one was made in Austria,
I also collect instruments, mainly stringed and wind instruments, looking to expand! :)
Have a good day my friend

Yes, I start to built in 2008 and finish this february :p
ohhh very cool Austria and that you collect instruments too, are amazing, my colection mostly its about guitars because Im guitar player, I have very cool ones but I liked most the worst lol a homemade guitar that I paint myself its like a Frankstein guitar, Jackson`s neck and Freetmaster body with a shit mics, for grindcore and extreme metal playing its amazing one lol

Well, this has to be one of the most creative performances I have seen around here. Great use of the loop to perform freely with the rest of the instruments. I wonder how it would've been to record over the loop and keep adding layers of sound.

Outdated job!

Thank you, thank you! :) yeah if I kept going and going with the overdubs it would eventually just sound like one big moosh of sound, I’ve tried it before haha, gets very intense and loud!
Glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching

Oh, well, that's also true. 🀣
