So, was it the dishes or the laundry that kept you away or your children at the backyard yelling so hard that you couldn't hear the rain rumbling and roaring like the fierce lion wanders in the wilderness??
Really, you'll have to give the reasons you rely upon to miss the first ever rain of the year. Perhaps was it because you're not African, I mean maybe if you were an African like me who sucks for rain to fall because the heat is boiling and suffocating, maybe that would have given you the reason to witness the grace of the first rain of the year.
Well, if I'm not being diabolical like everyone would think, I would say there is of course a blessing and grace that comes with rainy days here in Africa not even when the heat of harmattan is already choking and boiling all the fats useful to your body. Would you deny just living here in Africa, talk less of the northern part, nah I'm not mentioning Algeria or Egypt. No, I'm not ready for another war of Pharaoh, Moses is gone already. 😩...that mere living as a middle or lower class citizen will have your fats burnt without any form of exercise because the HEAT will surely help you deal with the cholesterols and fats without even seeking your consent!! Yes! I said it, heat burns calories here for us!!!!! 😂😂😂 I bet if there's any grace as such in Australia and Europe to mention few where snows contributes to your holidays. Nope, I don't wanna talk about that today! 😂😂😂
Of a fact, Africans counts many happenings, events, even when they're natural to be spiritual. Trust me, if you were to be one you'll understand how it feels to receive rain after a longer time of yearning like a baby yearns for mothers milk. Not even when you're a sucker for nature, the rain, the Moon at nights, stars, fresh breeze that comes after the rain, the soul-appealing feeling that makes you feel you're lost in a paradise. Most of the stuff we have here in Africa even as natural resources are not just given as freebies or giveaways, yet we earned every little pleasure we get. In this land, nothing dey for free ohh😂.
So tell me you won't be joyous when it finally rains after a long period of time with heat sharing your apartments with you, or when your crops at the farm are dying of thirstiness and the land so dry as the desert. For sure, without consistent time conscious rain flow, there will be famine, penury, starvation in the land. So, believe it folks, when it rains here it's a symbol of hope, peace and blessings. And maybe that portrays to reasons Africans celebrate the first coming of an event or incidents. Like celebration of the first harvested yam of the year and other festivals, it's our way of appreciating the gods and the God as well. But mind you, never have I heard of that African tribe or nation that celebrates the first rain of the year, nevertheless it is worthy to witness it raining for the first time in the year. The easiness that comes thereafter is heavenly and beyond description.
So, you missed the first rain of the year, now tell me you want to miss more.
Pictures displayed are snapped and brought to you by yours rain-lover-ly. 😂❤️💦🌦️🌧️
