Sketch of Mr. Clement alone on the page
I wrote a sort of short with an illustration I had made a year or so ago here on Hive "The Case of the Curious Mr. Clement". The work for that recently sold on a few pieces and it made me think of the little fellow again, so of course, yesterday morning's sketch gave us another little rabbit fellow.
Mr. Clement with his garden tools
I of course had to add a situation that gives one pause (or should I saw PAWS) to consider, "Is this a garden rabbit by human things left outside, or is it MR. Clement in Rabbit Form again?"
A bit of watercolour wash to give him life
I'm thinking I might sketch in some pots and such for the background for a bit more depth and that 'illustrated' story look.
The Original piece I did a year ago of "The Curious Mr. Clement" looked like this:
He recently sold on the Credenza and I wondered if he ended up as a Child's bedroom piece, or perhaps a garden room?
I will be putting this illustration on things when I've finished, of course.
I just want to do a bit of tweaking of it here and there. And I might give it a go in digital oils, which I'd not done with the original. If I like it, then perhaps I'll do the same with the original piece.
This year part of my "art resolutions" has been to make sure I'm simply creating what inspires me that day. I'm unashamedly making lovely pretty things and not minding in the least if it's even Twee, because, well I rather like twee things. Perhaps, even more so, since the world changes so drastically in 2020.
I hope you find a moment in your day to indulge in your own passions, whatever they may be.
