No Mens at TJ Maxx

in #hive-1251253 days ago

Earlier today I visited a TJ Maxx store with the dim hope of finding a pair of jeans. Over time, I've come to accept that I will not find clothing for myself at TJ Maxx. I'm not bitter. I understand. The most obvious is the subtly missing "MEN" sign that would normally be seen hanging from the ceiling.

I'm not saying that they don't have men's clothing. I can find under shirts, socks, undies, and ties. With minimal difficulty. Yet if I dare hope for jeans, or a shirt. Well that depends on my determination. As I walked the around, I slowly realized that the men's section was integrated with the boys section. Meaning that I could in theory find something, but I had to navigate the boys clothing in search of the scattered men's clothing.

Now I will say I'm a bigger dude, so I was expecting much. Eventually I did find the one remaining pair of jeans. It even had a clearance sticker on it. Though once I tried it on, I realized that the style was something I could not wear.

To their credit they still have a men's fitting room. Unlike Burlington Coat factory and a few other stores. So they're ahead of those places. If only the had men's clothing.

Over all I would still go to TJ Maxx if I was looking for other things like cookware. It was somewhat entertaining to realize that there was no men's section. I could find boys and girls. There was area for women and even pets, but not for men. Our stuff is tucked away in the boys section. Men hate shopping anyways. Don't they.
