Hello, meet me again. Today I cooked with my mother in the kitchen. I want to cook vegetables. Why do I want to cook vegetables? Because lately I rarely eat vegetables. So, what vegetables do I want to cook? I want to cook cassava leaf vegetables. What are the ingredients and how to make it?
The ingredients are, cassava leaves (weed, boil, drain, then chop), coconut milk, minnow fish (fried), lemongrass, galangal and ginger (slice thinly then crush), brown sugar and 3 bay leaves. The ground spices are, 4 cloves of shallots, 3 cloves of garlic, 2 candlenuts, 2 chilies and 1 teaspoon of salt.
How to make
Heat oil, saute ground spices, lemongrass, galangal, ginger, brown sugar and bay leaves until fragrant. Then, add coconut milk and cassava leaves. Cook while stirring occasionally. Once boiling, add the minnow fish, stir. Serve.
After that, I ate it with rice. How does it feel? Hmm… It tastes delicious and a little salty. In my opinion, cassava leaf vegetables are suitable to be eaten with fried tempeh. But, today my mother bought tofu instead of tempeh. This is my first time cooking. Turns out, it's quite fun. Because usually I only help get cooking utensils such as basins, pans, and so on. Is there anyone like me? Maybe, next time I'll make a snack.
By the way, the food in the area where I live is very diverse. Starting from rice, processed vegetables, side dishes, chili sauce, snacks and much more. What about the food in the area where you live?
Thanks for reading. See you, in my next post. Don't forget to eat nutritious food and drink enough water.
