Taking photos of clouds has to be the easiest and fun thing I do. I'm always conscious of them whenever I walk along the road,or it's about to rain, sometimes even when I'm home alone, probably bored, I'll be like 'have you taken a look at the sky today?' And boom, I'm out with my phone to get some shots. Watching the clouds is one of the things I do for stress relief. It helps me disconnect from reality and just sitting there watching the beautiful clouds do their thing is just wonderful.
Not just the clouds though, I basically see enjoy watching nature, especially when it's up there. Coming out at night and seeing the stars in their amazing array and the moon completing the puzzle is a second to none feeling. At one point I felt like Bruno Mars' song "Talking to the moon" describes me, not the part talking about broken love though, hehehe. The solitude plus the beautiful distraction is a great combo for thinking out loud.
It wasn't so hard get pictures for this post because my gallery is literally filled up with pictures of clouds, sunsets, the moon, the sunrise and the entire lists. I take more pictures of the cloud than I do of myself. Sometimes I have to keep deleting them to at least save some space to get new ones because I just can't get enough. Sometimes I wonder, what if the sky was just blank? What if there's actually nothing to see when you look up? Another level of boring
My favourite part of watching the clouds is seeing how fast they changed and make up shapes and beautiful patterns. If nature wasn't so perfect on its own, I would've have concluded that they have a mind of their own, like actors playing out roles in movies. I remember when I was younger, I looked up and saw a dark cloud under the moon. I don't know, but I think it made a face like an actually face with eyes and everything. So I concluded that it must be God watching me from up there. Trust me,I always believed that until I was forced to unlearn it.
My little cousin learnt how clouds hold up rain one time and everytime it rains, she'll be like "so the clouds are crying right now". We laugh over the way she says it with all seriousness and innocence but it's fun to believe the clouds cry. But how are they able to hold up so much rain and stay up there? Don't answer, I'm just in my thoughts. The best part is when they finally let it go and the sky becomes bright and beautiful again. Nothing is stable, like they always say "there's a silver lining behind every cloud"
I remembered the day I captured the sun and figured out that it actually white not yellow.
I know I've come across something like that somewhere but it was really convincing seeing for myself. All my childhood days, I've always known the sun to be yellow in color but looking up, I learnt something new. There's power in observing, how are you going to know how beautiful these things are if you don't notice them?. Take your time and look at nature around you and you might be surprised at what you have been missing all along.
This is today's prompt from the Inleo monthly prompts. You can talk about the beautiful nature around you, show us the beautiful pictures you have in your device about nature.
