Greetings everyone, having a special activities cannot be easily. Today, allow me to share a day-to-remember activities I did the past Month when me and my Friends were decided to do tree planting at Barangay Pagawan watershed. This was my first time to joined tree planting activities and I was delighted to participated this activities. Before the special events held, our Leader chatted us thru text messages about the upcoming activities and He also includes the exact Time and Date and also the Locations. The time will started at about 5 early in the Morning. This was the perfect time to plant trees at the watershed to avoid intense heat from the Sun.
The meeting place well be at Birds Nest Sanctuary in Barangay Pagawan before proceeding at the site where the trees will be planted. Different sectors are also invited to join the activities and lots of people are willing to join tree planting activities. After a few minutes of orientations and prayer, the Organizers announced to get prepared to proceed to the Site. It takes a few minutes of traveling before we reached the place. Almost 15 vehicles used so that everyone can ride and reached the place on time.
The trees are also ready to picked up and plant on the site. There are few kinds of Native trees and its up to us to choosed which trees would we want to plant.
The planting areas was near at this stream were clean, cool crystal clear water can be seen. The main plan is to plant lots of trees at the mountain near at the stream and almost 500 young plant trees are all set and ready to plant. There are 8 Different sectors who joined the activities and each group can be decided which trees they would like to choose. Organizers are also there guiding us to place were we planted. It takes a few minutes of walking adventure in this relaxing stream and everyone was very enjoyed exploring and taking pictures of the areas.
We also passing by in this wide corn field and aside of those plants, there are also coconuts and banana plants in the place. It was slightly difficult to went there because the road trail was very muddy and the slopes are very slippery. This is one of the great Nature challenge I've done together with my friends. Despite of the adventuristic situations, we keep enjoyed watching the place because of the overviews and aside of that this was the first time I went here at the place.
After a few minutes of walking, finally we reached at the top of the hill, the guider told us the place were we going to planted the trees we brought. There are a place designated by each sector and after that, we started to looked for any dug holes at the ground. It will be very easy to plant those young trees because there are already lots of holes and it is ready to filled up.
I started to plant my two young molave trees and I carefully planted it in those holes. The holes was very easy to found because there are sticks standing near at the dug holes at the ground. It takes a few minutes of planting each young trees and after that we proceed and went down in the hill.
Some of my friends are still not yet finished planting their trees, that is why I also guiding and help them planting those trees. Going down from the mountain slope is not really easily because of slippery road trails and muddy areas.
A moment later, some groups of young teens also arrived at the place bringing lots of young trees. This can help the activities finished on time. It takes a few hours of tree planting activities and after that the organizers are very thankful for to all who joined the activities. Until next post, have a nice day everyone.
