Have You Been Good Enough to Inspire Others Join Hive?

Hi. I have been trying to onboard a few of my friends/ family to Hive and I did succeed in onboarding them on Hive but after some time, they just get inactive.

Why is it?

Is it I am not making much from Hive that is why they aren't getting inspired that much to do their best on their part to be at my place or is it something else?

I do think one of the reasons is that I am not good enough at collecting good rewards from Hive which is why I am not able to have a good impact on others to join the platform.

Making at least $100 from Hive would have been something that could inspire my friends and family to try working on the platform and be the ones who also could earn at least $100 a month. But if I am not making even $50 a month lecturing others to join Hive would be something that may not be much convincing or inspiring for them.

Influential users on Hive like @acidyo, @solominer, @meesterboom, @edicted, @khaleelkazi and some more may have a good impact on others in getting them onboard to Hive but I don't know if they are using that influence to do so.

I only know about myself. I have tried onboarding a few of my friends and family but I couldn't see all of them active right now. I don't know if it's because I am not making much from the platform or if it's just because they wanted quick results.

I believe approaching Hive to collect a few quick bucks is something that is not going to work. It is more like a journey and one has to be consistent and post regularly in order to get noticed.

Low hive price might be an issue for some but if you ask me, I would rather not worry much about the prices right now as my focus is on building my hive portfolio for the moment.

Some individuals might have the practice of taking advantage of the platform for financial benefits, often without giving back anything that is valuable. Whales should also take that into consideration and support users who are really adding value to the platform, but not just milking it.

What are your thoughts about this and have you referred someone to Hive? Are they still active?

I think the perceived problems go deeper than someone influential or who earns a lot onboarding others. I have onboarded quite a few and only one has stuck.

Blogging is not for everyone. Yet the lure of money makes everyone think that they can be a successful blogger. Like most platforms, you generally have to have a USP that stands out somewhat and often a lot of new folk come in with the intention of earning but zero idea on what to write about.

That's not to say that they can't be successful but it is hard work and is called the grind for exactly that reason.

The price also has a lot to do with it. When hive is low rewards aren't great for a new person and they might not perceive it as worth it. I have seen many a post lamenting that their 1000 word opus deserved more rewards and sometimes they do but it's also about more than throwing words out there and seeing them stick.

So as you say, if you arrive and post consistently and interact with other accounts you will most likely get somewhere in the end. Perhaps the most valuable advice I can think of though goes against the grain of what a lot of people think and do and that is.... If you have nothing to say you don't have to post for your daily "reward"
