Yesterday felt like it was the longest day of my life. Dad was wheeled to the OR around 9 am and the waiting time made me nervous, anxious, and restless. It was almost unbearable. I sat on one of the chairs for a while then when I got up and was pacing in the middle of the corridor, the thought of taking a souvenir of me being there through a photo came to mind, hence this shot.
Taking a closer look, I noticed the nice shadows of the chairs which got me busy for some seconds capturing them.
The shadow of the wheelchair didn't come out as sharp as I thought. Even the angle at which it was taken was off but I'm including it anyway, lol! I didn't even realize the pic included the faint shadows of the handrails until I uploaded this.😅
Anyway, after spending over an hour pacing back and forth along the cold corridors of the OR complex, I decided to go away for a while and get some sunshine on the balcony near the nurses' station.
The country's flag was waving high on the pole outside. Aah, the sky was bright and the air warm. I liked it there.
While I stood by the door, the shadows of the railings and plants caught my eye, hence these photos.
They look nice it felt like I needed more photographs so here they are.
A few minutes later, I returned to the corridors. After half an hour, I remembered to check Dad's room. Our stuff (my laptop among other things) was unattended but I was glad they were untouched. The place is safe :)
I could not count how many times I was back and forth between the OR corridors, the balcony, and our room during the day (9 am to 4 pm) but I'm so grateful Dad pulled through.
