Hellooo, normally I don't have much content to produce about TFT because I've already done everything that can be done in this set, but a new event came to the game and I played a game to share my views on this event with you. I hope you enjoy it!
You can watch the gameplay video here without commentary:
The universe of this game is Loot Subscription. It's a universe I've played dozens of times, and it's a universe where you can do crazy things as random rewards are given from a huge pool in each stage.
By the way, meet my new baby. This one hatched from an egg the other day and looks incredibly cute. If you watch the video you can see her animations.
In this fun mode you can use features that came to TFT years ago. For example, Socialite makes a square glow and the champion you put in that square will do more damage. Ghost makes an opponent's health drop to 30% at the start of combat. I chose the Socialite feature.
For the first augment, I chose Band of Thieves I to start the game strong. You get a thief's glove. It's always good to start with extra items.
In phase 2 you choose one more trait, I chose the Shurima trait. My strongest champion rises after 8 seconds and gains 25% max health and 40% attack speed. The only problem is that you can't really tell which champion it is.
The early game was pretty good for me, I won the first 4 fights and lost the last one. There is always someone luckier than you, right?
I had in mind to play a duelist composition because I got off to a good start. I think the extra attack speed will help in this composition. That's why I chose You Have My Bow. I gained an attack speed item and my champions gained 12% attack speed.
At the end of stage 3 you boost one of the 2 traits you chose before. I chose to boost the Socialite trait. The number of glowing cells on my board increased to 2. And now my units placed in those cells will deal much more damage and gain extra omnivamp.
Obviously the game wasn't going so well and I had to try something different to pick it up. First I tried to find a Duelist emblem, but I didn't succeed so I risked everything and chose Call to Chaos. What it gave me was a puppet with 2 Zeke. This was not useful at all, to be honest. I already had enough attack speed XD
I was not weak at all, but my opponents were much stronger. I will say something about it at the end of the game, but for now let's assume that my inability to complete my composition was the main reason.
It was so weird that the only opponent I was able to beat was a player who hasn't been in the game for a long time XD I mean, my composition isn't great, but it shouldn't be that bad, right?
I managed to find the duelist emblem, now I just need to find an Irelia and activate the 8 duelist trait, maybe then I can win the game.
For example, how can this opponent have 4 times as much health as me? He plays a Storyweaver composition with 3 star champions. Is it normal to be so strong with Sivir, Zyra, Riven and Zoe 3 stars?
Every round was a new challenge for me because I was going to be eliminated with the first loss. So I was matched against a strong opponent and I lost. My 3-star champions were not as good as I thought they would be.
My Thoughts About Game Mode
Like every version of TFT, this fun mode has a meta. Unfortunately this is true, for example the Mecha trait and the Boss trait are very strong. My advice is to choose them. My choice of Socialite or Shurima can be considered weak. Of course, it would be good to choose compositions suitable for the traits you choose. Since I have just discovered it, I cannot tell you anything clear. Maybe I can make explanations about it if I play more games in the coming days.
Thank you for reading, I hope you had fun while reading. Don't forget to share your thoughts with me in the comments. Take care and have a great day!
