Another fun session for me! For this drawing, you will observe I already get rid of the grid. So, no more cheating for me, and now I have to start measuring the proportions and form properly.
This is the last drawing where I don´t have progression pictures, for the next one I´m already taking many pictures! Therefore, it will be easier for you to follow me through this entry.
First, as I always do I started drawing the contour. Because I don´t have the grid anymore I had to measure a few reference points with the ruler. These points were in the hands and head.
From there, I could start measuring the rest of the body. It was like doing a puzzle for me but mistakes were made and probably you will notice bad proportions in the drawing.
After finishing the contour, I did some light shading marks for the different shadow forms all over the drawing. This helps me to split the forms and make them simpler.
Now I start to shade the whole figure. I need to take extra care with my hands and feet because it has a lot of small details, but it doesn't need to be perfect: quantity over quality. I had a few eureka moments like in the left hand where I could feel the small bones under the skin giving form to the shadow.
Finally, I used a precision rubber for the lights in the shoulder, arms, and hands. A few hours later I finished. I know there were things to correct and improve but I don't want to spend the whole week doing the 1% left. Time is precious.

¡Otra sesión divertida para mí! Para este dibujo, observaréis que ya me he deshecho de la cuadrícula. Así que se acabaron las trampas para mí, y ahora tengo que empezar a medir bien las proporciones y la forma.
Este es el último dibujo en el que no tengo fotos de progresión, ¡para el próximo ya estoy haciendo muchas fotos! Por lo tanto, os será más fácil seguirme a través de esta entrada.
Primero, como siempre hago, empecé a dibujar el contorno. Como ya no tengo la cuadrícula tuve que medir unos puntos de referencia con la regla. Estos puntos estaban en las manos y la cabeza.
A partir de ahí, pude empezar a medir el resto del cuerpo. Para mi fue como hacer un puzzle pero se cometieron errores y probablemente se noten malas proporciones en el dibujo.
Después de terminar el contorno, hice algunas marcas de sombreado ligero para las diferentes formas de sombra en todo el dibujo. Esto me ayuda a dividir las formas y hacerlas más simples.
Ahora empiezo a sombrear toda la figura. Tengo que tener más cuidado con las manos y los pies porque tiene muchos detalles pequeños, pero no hace falta que sea perfecto: cantidad sobre calidad. Tuve algunos momentos eureka como en la mano izquierda donde pude sentir los pequeños huesos bajo la piel dando forma a la sombra.
Por último, utilicé una goma de precisión para las luces del hombro, los brazos y las manos. Unas horas más tarde terminé. Sé que había cosas que corregir y mejorar, pero no quiero pasarme toda la semana haciendo el 1% restante. El tiempo es precioso.
