Season's greetings to one and all over this holiday moment at the end of March 2024. May we all be blessed by fertility and abundance as Spring arrives in the North and Autumn here in my region of the sunny south.
The South rises now like a good baked muffin. Since it's Easter - or more specifically the Fertility Festival time - I decided to engage in a long lost pastime of mine, namely baking muffins.
I love a good muffin in the morning. And one or two more later on. And with the rites of Spring upon us, I have found the ingredients and facility to throw a quick and easy muffin bake together.
Thanks be to the goddess of abundance, the Lakshmi of my life, the last of the cornucopia, the Demeter,Persephone or Ceres of ancient times. May she bless us all as we have already been blessed.
The beautiful muffin bake today consists of several flours, namely white, brown, self raising, almond and chick pea. I mixed all these flours together, along with oil, salt, sugar, almond essence, raisins, almond slithers, cranberries and dried pineapple cubes. And a bit of baking powder.
No recipe, just my intuition and using whatever I can find on the day by the grace of the goddess. It requires a decent oven too if course. Something only rarely available. So with all the items on hand, I took the time to make a batch of muffins from Mars.
I let them bake for 20 minutes at 190 degrees celsius. They're cooling now. And are being offered to the goddess who is merciful to bless us with abundance in grains, and coin. Eaten with butter and jam, they make for the heaven of the poor. For the poor, food is heaven.
I'm not normally one to post pics of my food, but this was a rare occasion in a festival occasion of abundance so a spontaneous post of a blissful fully baked babaji is the order of the day.
And for us wealthy, food is to be shared with all, especially on important Festival days, like this Easter, passover, fertility festival time. Such is the joy of life here way down south on the coast of Africa, where life is a blissful moment of eternal present.
Photos my own. Written and uploaded onto the Hive blockchain from the kitchen via my mobile. May you be in bliss by being blessed. I certainly am.
