I find the presence of seagulls calming; like, once I hear them, I know I am away from the grind. No city sounds, just birds and water. I could watch them all day and I can remember they would be all over the park I grew up by. Once I started to take pictures of them Ifound their feathers and patterns to be really intersting, alos sometimes challegning to capture the white without blowing out the highlights to much. They are an excellent bird to practice exposure on.
