Hello fellow Hivans,
Hope you're doing great and at least grateful for life. Many have passed from life unto death within this year but I know we are alive today not because we are perfect, it's not because we are better than those who have died. I also believe that once there is life, there is hope. Hope for a better future, hope for change in our situation, hope for an Upgrade or upliftment because no matter what, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Just yesterday as I was listening to a song on the radio, I started remembering certain things in my life which I don't think I will ever forget as long as I live.
Truly certain things happen in life just for us to learn our lessons and to be able to stay strong and become wiser in other to tackle more serious challenges in the future.
Seven years ago while I was working in a studio. A girl came and brought the remaining balance of her girlfriend's work in order to collect it. On that day I was less busy, so I noticed the beautiful girl, her shape, her curves, the texture of her skin and more importantly I love the fact that she is naturally fair in complexion.
I don't know what came over me, I decided to say hi in a different way than I have said to other customers.
Before I knew it, we were chatting. In fact it's as though right from the moment she entered I know she will be mine. Honestly, the fact that the intonation of my voice changed so much in such a way that even while we were chatting and even from the moment I said “hi” I started wondering if that's my voice or someone else speaking through me.
I had never told him that I have a girlfriend, this was what he told me later.
I was chatting with this beautiful young lady who had just come to collect her friend's package yet hadn't even laid her hands on it or seen it before I engaged her in the conversation. She sat down and we talked for a long time. The guy who visited me was bent over his phone looking busy. Our conversation got to a point where I looked at the time and was shocked to know that many hours have gone by. Not long after, she took the piece she came for and went back home. I was grateful when I went back before it got dark since she had talked of living with a family relative who seems to be very much interested in her movements since her parents were late. On the following day, when she came to my office she brought me a lot of canned juice and some yummy looking snacks. We chatted but not for long since many people were coming and needed my attention.
She told me she bought all those for me because it was her birthday then she left immediately and I noticed she was a little shy.
Then on her third visit she came with bananas and walked straight to my table and gently dropped them before taking her seat. In fact It was on the third day that I realized she was in love with me. Our conversation deepened till we lost track of time, sitting face to face, our lips jammed together. It was so remarkable for me to easily remember her birthday and the day we met because, the second day after we met each other was her birthday. Things proceeded well till I embarked on a little journey to another state a bit far from my state of origin, while there I made sure we talked multiple times everyday and night till I came back home and visited her. It happens that I always visit her once every three months. This proceeds this way for a while and I always make sure to come back befitting gifts and flowers. She was the first woman that triggered me to spend hours in a flower shop hoping to get her the best one that she loves.
I also help ward off some who she was not comfortable with as they keep pressuring her life to be in a relationship with her. It wasn't as though I confronted them or fought with them but I was a student of psychology and I know the calm ways to give a deadly blow that solves issues and it worked. Soon after I traveled my girlfriend announced her departure. She told me that she was going to visit her home town which was also another state farther than my own state in terms of distance. Months after she traveled back, I took one of my friends along with me and visited her, it was a very long distance. The second time I visited I came alone. I really wanted to make this relationship work and we already had our plans but after some time, if I call her line will be busy and if I happen to get her on the phone. She will tell me she will call me back but never do until I might decide to call her again on the following day to give her enough time. This proceeded for a long time and when it was clear to me that there was another guy in her life, she would deny it and start acting as though she's angry with me on the phone for not trusting her enough till continuing until the day I caught her red handed.
I remember getting so fed up with all the attitudes and decided that I will get to know the truth to know whether to move on with my life or not. I was a programmer and have some dark knowledge in hacking, that's what I did back then and I got some of her recent messages and even where she mentioned my name to her boyfriend and said somethings about me to show the guy that there nothing serious between us and this made me later check out and identified the guy and her ex and also the one who was the first love of her life. The day I told her of the things she was hiding from me, she started crying on the phone and asking for forgiveness but it made sense to me why she was suddenly crying but since that day I know that what glitters today may fade away tomorrow.
