This is my post for #freewriters 2501 prompt the next quest hosted by @mariannewest

I wonder what is in store for me, what is the next quest going to be? I have had many jobs. My first job was working at Dad's campground when I was young. I did things like pulling shrimp nets, picking up the trash cans and keeping sites clean, cleaning the bathrooms, and working in the store, I did all of that before turning 15.

My next job was working in a dry cleaning business next was a factory making Emersom motors, then in a nursing home, I waited tables in a Chinese restaurant.

I worked in an orange grove, I cleaned office buildings and stores. and my last job of 40 years, was commercial fishing. I hope one day I can go back but I have been thinking about what the next quest will be if I can no longer fish.

For the last 15 years, we have been growing and selling areca palms, but I think my husband is tired of selling them so we did not gather any seeds this year. the pots on the right side of this picture are the last of what we have, they will be ready to sell in 2 years.

Now I am thinking about pineapple plants, I can grow them until a fruit develops and people would not need to wait 2 to 3 years to get a pineapple,

I think people here in Florida will pay me 30 dollars for one with fruit, and like this one, they might get 2 pineapples. Then I think, I love my pineapple plants, could I trust someone to care for them as I care for them?

Looks like you have done many jobs already.

The first job at your father's campground, was it a paid one too?

Why did you choose a fishing job? Is it more profitable than others, or do you like fishing?

I did not get paid at Dad's campground until I worked in the store, I was 13, and he paid me 20 dollars a week.

I grew up around fishermen and fishing so I loved it, but when I married a fisherman, that is when I started doing it. I am 3rd generation fisherman in my family.
