Hello, guys!
I can't believe it myself, but for the first time since the start of the full-scale war, I have traveled abroad, and my destination is HiveFest!
Words cannot express the wide range of emotions I am feeling.
It’s very unusual to see peaceful, calm life; I constantly compare what I see here with the everyday life back home. It’s both thrilling and sad at the same time.
But! I am heading to my first HiveFest, and I am so pleasantly excited, I can't wait! 🥰
I've heard so many good things about it from my mom!
The journey, to be honest, is quite challenging and long for a Ukrainian because I can't fly out of Ukraine, as the airports are closed due to martial law. So, first, I traveled by bus from my hometown to Warsaw for a whole 16 hours, 9 of which I spent waiting at the border. At that point, my back was already killing me 😅
From Warsaw to Split, I booked a plane ticket, but I had to wait another 7 hours for the flight.
During this time, I met up with my parents, who came by train from Kyiv, and we strolled around Warsaw for a bit.
The Old Town is truly beautiful. We hadn’t eaten anything proper for almost a whole day, so the first thing we did was head to the beautiful main square for some coffee and food. After that, we took a short walk. We couldn’t walk for long because we were exhausted from the tough journey and hadn’t slept much. Plus, it was very hot.
After the walk, it took us about another hour to get to the airport, where we spent 3 more hours waiting for our flight to Croatia.
So, in total, it was 23 hours of travel to HiveFest, but I’m sure it will be worth it!
Thank you for your visit and support!
Cheers,
