You may not have heard of GreedAcademy, but they're making good moves and it's nice to see what they're doing. This excerpt from their website is what they're about:
The GREED Academy is an educational initiative that teaches cryptocurrency, blockchain, digital security and how to navigate web3 better. Educators can earn by creating content or courses. The Academy is completely free, accessible to all, and is fully funded by the GREED Validator.
This December they're doing something they call The 7 days of Greedmas, they ask a crypto related question eveey day and you're to answer it in a creative way and post it on X tagging them.
Today's question is: _What was your biggest Web3 mistake this year and what did you learn from it? _
In answering this in a creative way I made this meme:
It shows the dilemma I was in just before the election in October. Seeing this while talking about a mistake lets you know that I of course made the wrong decision, I sold before the election 🥲.
And what I sold was BTC, which means I never got to see 100k with you guys.
But of course I was trying to play safe. I had just lost a job and if anything happened to my stash with a Kamala win I would have seen lower lows 😅.
Kamala wasn't anticrypto, but Trump was pro crypto and a Trump loss would have been a pro crypto loss or something close to it.
So I had to play safe.
So what did I learn from this? That I should have positioned for both outcomes, like sold half and kept half. But that was difficult to do because I imagined my half losing value with a Kamala win. Lol.
Preparing for both outcomes is still the right strategy all the time, though. Except you don't mind missing out on one outcome.
The End
